Feeling unwell after failed transfer. Is this normal?

We found out on Thursday our FET was unsuccessful. I stopped my hormone medications that afternoon, so I have had 2 full days without any estrogen / progesterone. I also stopped the Inhixa and have started to reduce the steriods as advised.

Since yesterday I have felt really unwell, I cannot seem to stop shaking. My heart rate feels like it is really fast and I just generally feel really awful.

I'm not sure if this is because I've stopped the hormones suddenly or because of the stress or maybe a mixture of both?

But is this normal and when should I expected it to pass?

I haven't started bleeding yet but my pain is definitely increasing so I don't think it will be too long before that arrives.

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you.

First of all I am really sorry for your unsuccessful cycle, my heart breaks 💔 for you as I been there 3 times but you should not give up. You need a bit of time to process everything. Second thing, I didn't experience myself any issues after failed transfer maybe because I had a chemical pregnancy each time so could have been different but my sister after full stimulation cycle experienced the same side effects as you are describing. Bear in mind she didn't had OHSS. The doctor told her that our body can be in a state of shock - from having so high hormones to nothing, this could be also your case. I know they prescribed few medications to her but I cannot tell you which ones. She felt much better next day. Take care 💕

So sorry this cycle didn't work for you. The first cycle I did I experienced similar. The day after I stopped meds I started shaking, sweating, heart was racing felt like it was in my mouth and felt soo ill I spoke to the clinic I was with they just said its nothing to do with the IVF they were a bit dismissive made me feel like I was making it up and just said do a covid test. Covid test was negative. After about 3 days I felt fine, I was bleeding though as my period started before OTD. Hopefully it will pass soon for you, if not speak too your GP. Be kind to yourself and partner, take time out for your body and soul to recover, plan nice treats for yourself. You are a warrior. Sending hugs x

I don't have advice on the symptoms Jade, but I'm so sorry your transfer wasn't successful 😢 I hope you've started to feel a bit better, physically at least xx
