FCR Round 2 Uncontrolled Sickness
Fortunately agreement was reached that I had no evidence of any actual infection so the cannula removed, switched back to oral antibiotic
Septrin
(Co-Trimoxazole), and I was discharged on day 7 of round 2. That was a big relief.

Question about long haul air travel
I had a dvt in my right leg from behind my knee to my ankle last August. Was on warfarin for 3 months and am doing fine now. Doctor says if I have another dvt will be on anticoagulant for life. Cause of my dvt was a double genetic mutation. I love to travel and especially enjoy cruises, but am nervous

Heparin Trial
Hi, Haven't posted for a while as life has been... interesting... but have a question that I am sure some of you lovely people out there can help me with. My daughter (aged 21) is about 6 days into a heparin trial. First days she didn't notice much, but we saw on here that many of you say you inject

Off Warfarin and restarting
Came off warfarin due to having two colonoscopies two weeks apart. I'm on warfarin for afib permanent. I'm taking 75ml of heparin innohep daily to bridge. Going to have another colonoscopy again in two weeks and then restart warfarin again. Consultant said it's pointless going on and off warfarin and

Can low INR cause depression/mood swings/anxiety?
Hi, with the help of my clinic nurse we are nearly on track with getting the correct warfarin dose to get my INR within its target range (2.5-3.5), however my husband and I have noticed when it drops below the range I am depressed, anxious and moody. It's really causing problems. Before I started warfarin

Anti phospholipid antibody with Hemorrhagic disorder
I have a rare blood disorder and I inject Arixtra(Fondaparinux) at this time. Heparin and Agatraban both had the opposite effect on me. Due to the expense, my doctor has recommended possibly switching to Rivaroxaban. I am a little nervous to change what I know is working. Camie

Is it APS?
I have Hughes syndrome but I'm posting about a friend. She developed blood clots on the lungs 7 years ago and nearly died. She had all the tests and was told she had sticky blood with no known cause. Therefore, is not medicated. She has been fine since. She had two babies with heparin due to her past

Update...
Hello all, Just a quick post to let you all know that so far I have had no complications with my pregnancy. I do get worried and I am very anxious but I have to stay positive. We had an early scan last week, which estimated I was around 8+1weeks. The scan revealed all is well and our baba is growing

Getting used to APS
Hi all, only just found this Forum, excellent stuff when you are feeling a little lost.... I suppose I am a recent conscript to the 'World of Hughes Syndrome' it being just over 2 years from copping a DVT and PE and I am still coming to terms with the consequential side of APS. Had a rough run or so

Spontaneous Referral!
Just had to share this as slightly excited - my Rhuematologist has spontaneously asked if I would like her to arrange for me to be seen by Dr David D'Cruz!! It may have something to do with the fact that I had just emailed her to say that I want to inject Heparin if my INR goes below 2.5 rather than
