Wanting to want.
This post is kind of a mess. I just took thoughts and put them down as they came. The order didn't really matter and sometimes when it seems like I were about to wrap it up, something else came and I just put it down. So please excuse the mess I made and the self-loathing undertone the whole things has

Time off work and exercise after laparoscopy?
Hi everyone, I have just received a letter to give me a date for my laparoscopy which is on 6th May and I was wondering if anyone can give me a rough guide as to how long I would expect to be off work after the operation? I know everyone will be different depending on what they find but just an idea

Can I get a copy of my ultrasound scan I had a bpas before I went through with my abortion? 🙄😔
Hi i had an abortion last Saturday. very hard decision but me and my partner both agreed it was for the best, he's been absolutely amazing and so so supportive, before I had the abortion I had an appointment at bpas to see how far I was and to then discuss my options unfortunately I was more far gone

Hi
I have been diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, but awaiting scan results to determine if my consultants 'working diagnosis' of Ideopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is correct. If it's confirmed, what can I expect? Thanks.

Morphine equivolency
Dan,. I had to go off my Butrans 20mcg patch because I was getting a skin reaction to it- red, raised rash and itching. Â My Dr. Put me on Belbuca 300mcg BID but they're very expensive so I asked him for something cheaper. He put me on Oxymorphone 10mg BID then and within a week I started having pretty

Re-occuring stomach pains
Posted before about amitriptyiline being a successful pain reliever. However, after a couple of months taking it my stomach/chest pains have returned again. Has anyone else experienced this? Â

Shocked !!!
Hi everyone, just having a bit of a moan. Â Along with RA/PMR/DIABETES and dealing with the meds, I have had some sun damage skin on my face which was treated with liquid nitrogen back in 2010. This came back quite slowly and was treated last October by my GP with a cream. The problem came back again

C section recovery
So I had a c section three weeks ago but the past couple of days I've been getting the chills/shivers every evening (only in the evening) even though the thermostat says the room is 17-20c. It's so bad I've been going to bed in jumpers on top of pj's just to feel warm enough to sleep. My scar does feel

Endo and exercise...
so I know that some exercise can be good when you have endo but also that people find too much can cause pain. My question is...can exercise actually make it worse? I know it can make the pain worse but I can handle that to a certain extent. What I don't want to do is actually make the Endo scarring

Endo pains after eating
Hi all, I've mentioned about endo and digestive issues in the past but recently I've been experiencing some bizarre pains. After eating especially large meals I'll get sharpish pains across my upper and lower stomach/above my pubic bone which radiates down my left leg. Does anyone else experience this

Scar advice
Hello, When I was at school I got in with the wrong crowd of friends and started self harming. I was only doing it because I thought everyone was doing it when they weren't. i am now left with scars on my forearm. I have had them for 3 years and they are white line scars which are slightly but not significantly

Cesarean scar endometrioma
I was sent for an ultrasound on a lump above my c scar. They discovered it had a blood supply and checked with 2 consultants, who said it looks like an endometrioma from my c sections. Any one else have this? What can be done? Can't find much info at all. Thanks

Pulmonary fibrosis
Good morning to you all. I am posting for the first time, hope I don't mess up or sound silly. My husband was diagnosed in 2006 with pulmonary fibrosis and although we regularly attend the royal brompton for his care I feel very isolated and uninformed. Really feel as though we've just been left to guess

With one hospital, can you ask to be referred to another? Also can you request hysterectomy?
Hello all, I am 43 and have severe endo. I exercise loads and try and eat sensible endo diet. No children due to Endo. Have had four laparoscopies, two hysteroscopies and numerous procedures and a life saving emergency laparotomy 3 years ago after I got infection from elective surgery/laparoscopy for

No Diagnosis
Hi, i've been having investigations since July last year after having what I thought was a straight forward chest infection. It never cleared up and after months of tests and hospitalizations I am now going to the Brompton for my results next week. I've been told I have an abnormal Trachea and they were

Red skin, acne scars. Help needed!
Hello, my skin always was prone to breaking out. But now I notice it's red and scarred. What can I do to make it back to normal skin colour? Would skin lightening cream work? I tried natural aloe and the Clinique redness cream but it's not doing so much. Thanks!

Bone Marrow biopsy
I haven't posted before but thought I'd try to prevent those people about to have a bone marrow biopsy from worrying ! I'm seen by Dr. Paul Smith at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital and have been on watch and wait since diagnosis of CLL in July 2013. I have regular 6 monthly blood check ups and at my last

Painful lump under c-section scar
Hi, I'm not sure if anybody may have experienced something similar, I had a section almost 2 years ago now. It healed fine and has caused me no issues. The past week it had become increasingly tender and the little pouch of fat/skin above it (that I just cannot get rid of!) seems tense or bulgey if

Anyone decided not to have a laparoscopy and go straight ahead with treatment/pain relief?
I saw a specialist yesterday and after examination, he said he could feel some scar tissue which he thinks is almost definitely endometriosis. He recommended a lap but said that the decision is obviously mine. I suffer from pain during the first half of my cycle only. I really don't want to have an operation
