Posted before about amitriptyiline being a successful pain reliever. However, after a couple of months taking it my stomach/chest pains have returned again. Has anyone else experienced this?

This problem is know to all the pain relievers or pain killers. You take pain relief for a condition and the pain goes. What is never considered is that a symptom is tackled not the cause. The symptom being pain. The cause being poor muscle control is not looked at. So when the symptoms return as a result of deteriorating muscle control you must expect increased pain and discomfort. The treatment of the original symptoms cannot be expected to remain a good treatment when you have a deteriorating cause.
You need to find ways to deal with the cause.
Thanks for your reply John. I like your explanation. I have an appointment with doctor tomorrow and hopefully he will prescribe me something better. I'll let you know
