I'm having real difficulties, despite being prescribed
Salamol
(which I'm not sure is working as well as the ventolin) and a preventer (fine). Because I generally feel pretty long Covidy, I'm not sure what to expect with asthma.

Ventolin versus Salamol reliever inhalers
I’ve read a number of comments on this site concerning the move from Ventolin to
Salamol
inhalers. People are concerned that the
Salamol
inhaler is much weaker, therefore needing more puffs than the ventolin equivalent and I have also read about the bad taste of
Salamol
inhalers.

recently diagnosed asthma
All have have prescribed a
Salamol
inhaler which hasn’t worked at all. I am now on another one that I take in the morning and haven’t noticed any difference. I am constantly wheezing, coughing and have a pain in my chest from the over use of the inhaler. I feel so unwell I am at my wits end .

asthma & respiratory illnesses
Hi - I’m asthmatic and it’s always been mild for the most part (managed by
salamol
& clenil for my reliever and preventer). Whenever I get any form of respiratory illness it goes straight to my chest and I need steroids and antibiotics and have asthma exacerbations not really attacks.

Course of steriods
I decided to continue with another dose anyway as my asthma was still flaring and I was having to use my
salamol
every 4 hours. It looks like I made the right decision because of last night asthma attack. I going to get an appointment with GP as advised by A&E.

No diagnosis
I've taken antihistamine,
salamol
- blue inhaler, now nasal spray in case of nasal drip. I've had Costochondritis for a month and tonight I'm struggling to stop coughing and my rattling whistling wheeze is constant between coughing bouts. I've tried sipping water, hot cups of tea, and inhaler.

I'm on holiday in Thailand Arrived 5 days ago, my asthma was getting better with new meds Trimbow & Salamol 2 maths ago
I'm on holiday at the moment in Thailand arrived 5 days ago. My asthma treatment was getting better been on Trimbow for 2months. But almost immediately I've had nasty flare up due I think to hot temp and pollution. My GP prescribed 5 day course of Predislone to take with me when should I take it?

Nebulisers
I had used 20
salamol
and 8 fostair doses, my daily limit. In our area we are not allowed our own nebulisers, so as told to I rang 111 and asked for a nebuliser, as I had run out of treatment options. 111 then said could not send paramedic and sent a full scale ambulance.

Coping with asthma at the moment
Even if I take my
Salamol
at the first indication of difficulty I get no relief. The
Salamol
just doesn't seem to help. Thankfully I sleep well and the tight chest disappears overnight. Do these patterns of asthma seem familiar to anyone?

Happy Monday 😊
The specialist told me I have severe COPD, and told Trimbow is the best Inhaler for me, even though it only gives me short relief together with
Salamol
. He told me he was referring me for oxygen at home, and need CT and ultra sound on my lungs and heart.

Inhalers.
At the moment l am on Fostair 200/6 and have
Salamol
for my reliever. My breathlessness has gotten worse in the last few months and am wondering if it is worth speaking to my consultant about a change.

Pollen affecting asthma
Taking pred.
salamol
and duoresp spiromax. Please advise if I should go out in fresh air and risk a bad reaction with v high pollen count or stay in and quiet for the week ahead as no rain is forecast. Or go out with an ordinary covid mask to help keep allergens away ?

Asthma without infection
I use DuoResp Spiromax 320/9 dry powder inhaler (and
Salamol
inhaler, when needed, not often). I also am in my 6th year of Permanent, though asymptomatic, Atrial Fibrillation after 22 years of Paroxysmal AF. My only medication for that is an anticoagulant, Warfarin being my choice.

Copd meds
I currently have a
salamol
reliever and am on duaklir genuair inhalation powder, which usually works for me. More breathless than usual so a new doctor put me on relvar ellipta fluticasone furoate 184/22 micrograms. Had a really bad episode when walking my dogs with my partner.

Changing from MDIs to DPIs for the environment
With
Salamol
I have not had the same experience - it seems to take longer. Thus I have become even more reluctant to go for walks if I have to rely on
Salamol
if the need arises.
