Rytary

A doctor in Mayo clinic switched me to rytary. It is expensive , do you think switching worth it?

I'm wondering if it is to get people on it and used to it before Rytary has a generic version ( not sure when that will be). Am I being too skeptical?

In the meantime I have been on Rytary 3 95s every 3 hours. I have just developed dystonia (very painful) in my upper shoulder and neck. Dr just gave me a steroid shot, didn’t seem to help. I can’t walk if I miss the three Rytary. I’m even going to the chiropractor. Don’t know if that will help.

My MDS feels like I probably need to add an additional dose a day- I currently take 390 mg of Rytary ER 5 times per day. Anyone else ever or currently experiencing this? Thanks for your help.

The quetiapam /rytary helps me fall asleep and get back to sleep if I wake up, and the Klonopin helps me with anxiety. I also see a counselor who specializes in PD and get regular and vigorous exercise.

But my doc at the time changed me to Rytary. I’m in the same practice, but my favorite dr. Retired my second one quit, and I have now a movement specialist who gives me different strengths of Rytary and lets me work it out. Any suggestions of what I should do? Thanks

(seems to be a rytary look alike, a timed release capsule that reduced the amount of times I had to take meds ) from 5x/day with rytary to 3x/day with crexmont. i feel like each day i am getting worse.

In December '23, i started Rytary. Made me compulsive (i couldn't stop doing whatever i focused on, cleaning, crafting, etc.), and my already fragile sleep took a hit. Made me feel crazy! Lowering the initial dose (which had been calculated per the Rytary calculator) didn't help.

He gave me a prescription for Rytary. After taking it for a few months, it does NOT help me! It was worse...improve Libodopa/carpadopa...it tightens me and I cannot think, read, focus on anything. Rytary made my paranoid, anxious, no control!

My overall typical schedule including this learning is now: up at 8 am, 830 0.8 rytary (total 0.8 x 245mg) 1300 1 245 (total 1.8 x 245mg now) (eat) ~1500 on ongentys well after the meal 1530 start big exercise 1700 1 rytary (total 2.8 x 245mg now) 2200 1 rytary, depending (total 3.8 x 245mg)

I take Rytary Four to five times a day. It all works pretty good except my third dosage. I take 285 mg each dosage. The third dosage is at 1:00 and does not kick in. I have to take my 4th at 4;30 (a little early) and it kicks in fine. Maybe it’s food interference.

We tried meds - NeuPro and Rytary BUT - because of the bad side effects (at least bad for Janet who weighs 86 lbs) - we have stopped both now The biggest issue is balance - - and falling backwards - breaking bones - which is scary So we are in the endless LOOP on healing bones using pain killers -

If anyone has dealt with this, I would appreciate your feedback, as my MDS is saying that my only option is to take more of my Rytary (48.75/195 mg - 2 capsules - currently 5x/day - so that would put me at taking it 6x/day, which I think is too much) Thanks in advance for your feedback.
