Combining Pegasys and ruxolitinib (Jakafi) for MF: has anyone tried it?
I'm having a grim time at present, as the increased risk of aggressive skin cancers triggered by the
ruxolitinib
I’m taking ( was inc to 20mg bd at end December to help the fatigue ( it didn’t) ( now back to 15mg bd) haunts me.

Ruxolitinib and UTIs
I wonder how other
Ruxolitinib
users suffering from UTIs cope with the problem and whether it’s possible to boost the immune system to help prevent infections?

Ruxolitinib and aggressive squamous cell skin cancers.
I’d followed up the research that people here had pointed me to on the link between rux and aggressive SCCs and sent some on to him What I’d taken from the research was that if you had had a previous non melanoma skin cancer there was a significant risk of
ruxolitinib
triggering an aggressive SCC

The Force is Strong in This One
I'm struggling to put weight on but since I stopped
Ruxolitinib
many months ago my appetite fluctuates. Mind you I've always been a eat to live person. I tire easily but can do light jobs and potter in the garden.

Systematic Review of Photobiomodulation for the Management of Oral Mucositis in Cancer Patients
Apparently, HU causes many of those complications, and
Ruxolitinib
can further exacerbate those complications too... There may be some general 'Conflicts of Interest' with this new Laser Light Therapy article, but I thought it was worth the read in any event...

AXSL MUTATION
I have been asking about
Ruxolitinib
with my Haematologist but I'm stuck on Hydroxycarbamide until I get worse and reach Intermediate 2.. Having received this today AXSL, I'm wondering if this will strengthen my case for
Ruxolitinib

Haemo appointment
Haematology appointment this morning 🤔 first one since I stopped all the HU and
Ruxolitinib
. Interesting to see what my bloods are today. My platelets had previously come down to 540 so time will tell........ I get so nervous on appointment days - like a cat on a hot tin roof

Niggling feeling
I had been told that
Ruxolitinib
should not just be stopped but should be tapered off. I would appreciate people's thoughts Regards Graham

Myelofibrosis
My ‘crossover’ MPN has transformed to Myelofibrosis ( confirmed by BMB) and my new consultant has decided that the only medication is
Ruxolitinib
. Can anyone reassure me as to its efficacy, and if they have suffered side effects..... it all sounds quite toxic.

PV stinging itch and Ruxolitinib
I was approved for
Ruxolitinib
and started taking it a week ago. I feel fantastic - the itch has gone. I am generally warmer - what a wonder this is. I will have my bloods done on 5th and just hope they are ok as HU did control them very well.

PV and/or ET - JAK2+ - currently asymptomatic
In youtube.com discussions, there are mentioning about combining HU and
Ruxolitinib
or Interferon (etc); and another that is being researched (not in humans yet) is methotrexate that is relatively inexpensive and is already being used for rheumatoid arthritis (as the latter medicine also targets JAK2

Ruxolitinib for Polycythemia Vera
My haematologist considers that my situation would be greatly improved with
Ruxolitinib
but this has been rejected through the NHS. Has anyone similar to myself managed to obtain
Ruxolitinib
on compassionate grounds from anywhere else including the drug company.
