Coronavirus (COVID19) - ADVICE FROM THE MEDICAL TEAM
Probably the bigger risk would be for patients taking
ruxolitinib
, this is because
Ruxolitinib
is a slightly more powerful immunosuppressing drug, but overall it improves patients' fitness which is important to bear in mind.

The investigators concluded that the combination of panobinostat and

I have tried various treatments -
Ruxolitinib
, HU and a combination of both but nothing really touched my platelets but since going to the QE in Birmingham I have been taking Pegasys 45 Mcg weekly and have now achieved complete haematological response š I haven't been feeling well with stomach issues

Sarcomatoid SCCs and ruxolitinib BMB
Hi As I posted here, I had a BMB a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately the first part of the sample that was analysed had been badly taken and couldnāt be fully analysed. What a bummer. So Iāll have to wait for the trephine ( bony core) part of the biopsy to be analysed. Iām still hoping that I can

The combination of
ruxolitinib

Ongoing Research Poised to Add Options for Myelofibrosis Treatment
:D I simply found this an optimistic and encouraging from the perspective of MF sufferers, and especially if & when their
Ruxolitinib
(aka Jakafi), loses some of its efficacy, which it tends to do after circa 3.2 years...

MF and mutations
Before receiving the news about the mutations, my prognosis was a mean lfe expectancy of 4 years, but
Ruxolitinib
, my current medication could prolong that period. However, now being rated as a highj risk, I am assuming my life expectancy is now less than 4 years.

MPN Voice asked for your help and feedback in August to support an application to the SMC regarding the prescribing of
Ruxolitinib

WEIGHT GAINS WITH JAKAFI
:D As someone who is taking
Ruxolitinib
, I found this paper's frank admissions rather interesting seeing that the funding is coming from the manufacturers of
Ruxolitinib
(Jakafi).

Hens teeth, aggressive sarcomatoid sccs and ruxolitinib
Its supposed to be less immunosuppressive than
ruxolitinib
- or is that one of the others? My myelofibrosis is still Inter 2, and my new haematologist ( in the same hospital ) is going to arrange another BMB and genomic analysis.

Researchers examine the metabolic effects of an oral blood cancer drug ~ RUXOLITINIB (Jakafi)
However, many of us may have already read that taking
Ruxolitinib
has been associated with reports of weight gain... But you might not have read this... Read on to learn more about their findings... Best wishes Steve https://www.mpn-mate.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=129
