Cirrhosis and Confused
I was diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis in March of this year (2024) when I was 29. It was diagnosed through a CT but had ‘deranged’ LFT blood tests since August 2023. I was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and an enlarged spleen. The thought of it all scared me and so far I’ve managed to lose 3 stone

Off label uses for Inbrija?
I've just started experimenting with Inbrijia. So far, so good for a rescue med. I seem to be back on in 10-15 mins with one toke. Has any one experimented with Inbrija for other uses? For example, I think it would work great for those times when I eat a meal with protein and then realize it's time

Issues with tocilizumab?
Hello, my husband had an appointment with the Rheumatology nurse today. He is on tocilizumab but has had to have half dose as his liver blood results are too high. It is not as effective and he is developing problems with his hands. He is seeing the physiotherapist and an steroid injection was discussed

Serum creatinine 95 - should I be worried
Hi, I’ve been on vedoliximub injections for a year and recent blood tests shown my creative levels as high as 95! Should I be worried! Does this mean the medication is damaging mg kidnsys? I was on adaliminum for 10 years for UC but I now have liver cirrhosis as the medication damaged my liver!!!

Significant decrease in PSA?
Hello everyone! I posted on here a little while back and everyone gave me such great information and high hopes for my dad's future treatment options! I have updated his bio, but just to recap - He was diagnosed on 8/15/24 with advanced metastatic prostate cancer (spread to bones) with an initial PSA

No alcohol beer 0.5%
Hi My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis in July. He’s doing really well and hasn’t drank for 2 months. However, he is drinking no alcohol beer and ‘gin substitute’. I know some people don’t recommend it as it keeps the taste alive but I think if it’s helping him stay clean then he should do what

Low iron???
My wife's Hgb is often low, though can pickup a little after a ferinject IV. Her hematologist would prescribe ferinject when her ferritin was lower than 15, so she is always on the low side of normal. A recent trip to Christie's and blood tests gave this result above. We understand the ferritin numbers

PSMA PET Showing No PSMA Avid Metastases Again
Hello Everyone - I have update my profile with my husband's history. I think it is complete - but here is a quick recap: He was originally diagnosed on January 5, 2022 with a PSA of 1041.5 with mets to pelvic lymph node and bone. He underwent successful Triplet Therapy in 2022. He continued with Lupron

PSP eye problems
I guess I should have mentioned we are in the US in state of Oklahoma and getting appointment for neurologist is next to impossible as the few we have say they are not accepting any new patients. Only one we found is in Dallas, TX for next June. I’ve now placed her on hospice care and will try to give

Diagnosed today with small cell Mets in liver
I was diagnised 18 months ago with PSA of 125 and 2-3 Mets to bone. None elsewhere. Dana Farber in Boston put me on Relogolix and Darolutemide and brought my PSA down to .02 over 4-5 months , which was described as Super Responder. Had a PSMA PET SCAN, which showed nothing on the prostate and only one

CAP score dispute
Hello Everyone, I had a fibroscan this week. Overall, good news. No fibrosis, ir scarring. However, I was a little perturbed that my CAP score, which measures the amount of fat in the liver, was 268. The ranges for CAP scores are as follows: 230-260 means a low of 11% fat to 34% fat, considered S1

First real signs of Ascites
I haven't posted on here for a while but I feel the need to today. My dearest friend has liver cirrhosis diagnosed almost 3 years ago. He went for a fibro scan yesterday and he now has fluid build up around his liver. His spleen is also enlarged. Once this starts to accumulate is it downhill from here
