Does anyone else use rosehip oil and is it safe to use during pregnancy?
I've been using this on my skincare for a number of years and now wondering whether it is safe to use during pregnancy, The brand i use says it contains bio-available trans-retinoic acid (vitamin A) I've been trying to do some research on the internet and some pages seem to suggest it is fine to use

'Ribena Plus' with Immunity Support - extra vitamin A, C and E - Can I have it?
Hi folks, I'm probably being over-cautious asking this question but i've been buying Ribena Immunity support thinking it's a good alternative to caffeine based drinks - until I read on the back it has added vitamin A, C and E. I know too much vitamin A can harm a baby so is this a no-no? I cant work

So they recommend a dose of 200mcg selenium a day, I have purchased some, they are 100 mcg but it states 1 a day ...... confused
However they also contain vit A C E and D, so maybe thats why the dose is 1 a day, would the be any risks in me taking 2 a day? would it be advisable?

In Britain, we have beautiful, rich, soil varieties that contain all of the required life-giving nutrients that hold the magical 'pinch' of life's wealth and health. Understanding Units
One teaspoon of sugar is around five grams. So it is obvious that one gram is quite a small amount – it’s not difficult to imagine a fifth of a teaspoon and it is not a lot. But when we are talking about medicines and

The Beginning of Treatment 2006
My first treatment for Hepatitis C began January 09 2006 as scheduled. My NP Caelyn was the only doctor from now on. If needed I would be able to get in touch with the liver specialist. Side effects were explained again by Caelyn and my first needle was given. My husband Albert agreed to take on

Iron Deficiency Symptoms
These can be common in newbie Coeliacs (2 yrs CD (and women for obvious reasons). Don't just put up with feeling crappy. Often friends and family will get used to you feeling unwell. Write down your energy levels at different times and compare them with other people you know in similar circumstances

Week 3 of 'Lupus recovery diet'
Actually it's really challenging. Although I've been enjoying the creativity of making new interesting healthy vegan meals, juices and smoothies, IT'S ALL I'M DOING!! I don't have any time or energy left over to do anything else, and I'm not able to work (but that was very limited before anyhow).

When to take Selenium
I have decided to try a selenium supplement and have aquired a tub of Boots gel tabs which include vit A C and E. I'm not sure about the dose of selenium, it says 100 something, I think it's pg rather than mcg but it says one tab a day so it must be a reccommended dose. My question is when is the best

Quinces and beetroot and pears, oh my!
I am writing this with all my fingers and toes crossed, because I'm still hoping for an Indian summer, However, there's little doubt in my mind that Autumn is here. There's a different feeling in the air, and if you look closely you can see the leaves starting to turn. Despite my preference for tropical

Foods that Help
Did anyone see The Great British Food Revival last week? It was really interesting. I do believe food plays an important part in our fight against inflammation. There was a section in the program on cabbage and on a visit to Lincoln University the lecturer went through some of the benefits of this
