Re: discussion on Paddison Program
Clint, I saw your comments to several people and I have some questions. I was diagnosed with RA 23 years ago. I was on Enbrel for 14 years till I started developing infections, including pneumonia. Just this year I have tried Orencia and Actemra. Neither worked for me. Next the Dr. is recommending Rutuxin

RA for 4years with nonstop pain
Hi, I'm 51years female. Been on all kinds of medicines that treat RA. Unfortunately nothing helped to control inflammation nor pain. Tried biologics too. Cimzia and mabthera did nothing at all. Now I'm having actemra infusion every month. Nothing changed after 2 infusions. Any one felt better using actemra

GCA
Going on 2 years with GCA, on actemra to keep me off preds. All my labs are good but still don't feel like I did before GCA. I get worn out doing a load of laundry or trying to run the vacuum. Is that part for everyone? Don't want to whine but I have Our 6 yr old Great Granddaughter with us, I found

Drug named Tocilizumab or also Actemra
Has anyone had any experience with these drugs.? I have written several times before, and now have a new Rheumatologist in San Francisco who is wonderful She is from Ireland and has actually treated several people before with GCA . I have been on Prednisone for almost a year now, beginning at 80 mg.

Does anyone have an experience of this drug? After 10 months of trying MTX and Sulpha (both of which helped the RA but had side effects that meant I could not continue to take them) I went for my first infusion last week. However, it seems my body doesn't want to like any drugs and I had an allergic

Actemra infusion
I am currently in a trial and receiving Actemra injections (tocilizamub) once a month. I had my third yesterday. It has brought my numbers down considerably ( from a high of 80 to 8). I have been reducing my prednisone by your methods ( very slowly) and am now on 15 msg. Yesterday the doctor told

Rituximab for RA
Tried Embrel, Simponi ,
RoActemra
and now my rheumy wants to put me on Rituximab. My question is has it worked for anybody? I'm tired of using such strong medication myself without any positive results for my RA.

RoActemra (generic Tocilizumab)
RoActemra
works in a different way from the other anti TNF biologicals by targeting/blocking a protein called IL-6 (Interleuken 6) which is heavily involved in the inflammatory process. It also works without Methotrexate and is therefore useful for all those who can't take this powerful chemical.

THE BIG FIGHT ROUND 2 (cont) THE CYTOKINE KID v INFLAMMATORY JACK
It seems the supplement Tocilizumab, trade name
RoActemra
the Kid was taking with his methotrexate has been too successful and robbed you of the contest we were all expecting. When this contest started the promoters were expecting a long drawn out and evenly matched affair.

THE BIG FIGHT CYTOKINE KID (TOC H) v INFLAMMATORY JACK Round 2 cont....
Looks like they'll be ordering the next (3rd) batch of the Kids wonder supplement TOCILIZUMAB (
RoActemra
) if it carries on being this effective and even better they might taper down the MTX which was the trial they signed up for as a precondition to the big fight.

KICKED by a HORSE then run over by a BUS !!
I am now being set up to go onto
RoActemra
, a bit scary I think but to get to remission I will give it a go. It was then she offered me another steroid injection as I'd had great relief when I had one in April. Oh boy did it hurt, and still does unfortunately.

Anyone still working full time and on toczilibumab (roactemra?)
My rheumy wants me to start this new drug in June following bad reaction to rituximab in December. I'm worried how i can fit this in as it is a monthly infusion. Does it take as long to infuse as ritux? And do you need the same antihistamines and steroids with the infusion? I am finding it really
