People with previously treated CLL that has relapsed or does not respond to treatment, usually have ibrutinib or venetoclax plus
rituximab
. For this group, acalabrutinib has not been directly compared with ibrutinib or with venetoclax plus

Reaction after Covid vaccine?
I am on
Rituximab
infusions and I am still on 10mg steroids, my condition is stable but still have a very low level of grumbling disease not yet reached remission, just wanted to know others experiences. Also does anyone know about how and if we should get tested for antibodies for Covid-19?

Should You Get the COVID-19 Vaccine During a Disease Flare-Up?
doctor should provide guidance for your unique situation (and may advise against any medication changes based on your disease status, such as if you’re having a flare), but these medications include: Methotrexate JAK inhibitors (ex: Xeljanz, Olumiant, Rinvoq) Abatacept (Orencia), injectable or IV form

Is baricitinib fast acting?
I had anaphylaxis with anti-TNFs and
Rituximab
only helped my feet. I had started to think about the possibility that my hands would never function properly again but here I am, one week in, and even my displaced middle finger looks back to its normal location 😳😁

Which vaccine is better for CLL patients, Pfizer or Astra Zeneca ?
After 5 years of slow raising , at 134000 WBC I had FCR chemo, only two cycles, as I reacted with high fever to
Rituximab
and blood count droped down to 8000 immediately, so twice the second day of Cyclofosfamid was cancelled and unfortunately I did suffer from Clostridium Difficile after each treatment

Anyone had experience of ankle fusion following ankle replacement?
Since that time have had a L ankle fusion, R hip replacement, L knee replacement plus R mastectomy for breast cancer, also developed
Rituximab
induced Hypogammaglobulinaemia. So for 20+ years have been in and out of a wheelchair due to immobility.

Shielding letter
I am on
Rituximab
. I am employed part time in an office at an independent garden centre , who have remained open throughout lock down, but it is only my shielding letter that has kept my job for me. What do I do if I do not get another letter to cover me after 21st. ?

Update after 6th RCHOP for follicular NHL
Have to get a shot of
Rituximab
in belly every 3 months for 2 years. This is for maintenance to make sure it doesn't come back. A 15 minute jab. Chemo is a feared word, but it works.

Strange case of CLL remission
He used Bendamustine/
Rituximab
. Again, the recommended treatment of 6 cycles. He did cycle 1 with no issues, cycle 2 with no issues except a severe neutropenia where all white cells dropped to 0. The doctor advised us to stop.

ACR: Vaccinate patients with musculoskeletal, inflammatory, autoimmune disease for COVID-19
“In the case of drugs with long dosing intervals such as
rituximab
, there are some circumstances where it may be beneficial to time the vaccine around when the last dose was given to maximize the vaccine’s efficacy.

Australian current treatment legislation
Is it correct that in Australia currently for a SLL /CLL patient, if you are NOT 17p del but still unmutated igvh and mutated tp53 ( meaning FCR is unlikely to be effective) , you will still need to go through FCR before having an option like ventoclax or or a BTK inhibitor?
