Rituximab and Covid

Has anyone had Covid and taking Rituximab ? How did it affect you?

Hello Mii. I’m on Rituximab and steroids so have been shielding (as instructed) to try to prevent getting Covid. So far I’ve been successful.

If you’ve had a positive test for Covid I would let your Rheumy team know. They may wish to monitor how it affects you for research purposes as well as offering you advice and checking how you get on. I hope that, if you have got it, you recover quickly.

Not had it but was interested how it affected people on Rituximab Regards

Good! I think most of us are trying very hard not to get it. I had my last cycle in August and was warned to be very careful to protect myself.

It will affect us all differently Mii, same as the rest of the population. We just have to do our best not to catch it 😊

I had Rituximab in March , stayed home until September my first visit out l caught covid . I have no idea how , as l was very careful . Fortunately l recovered with no after effects. I have had another dose of rituximab still ok , so l am very fortunate.
