folic acid
Is there a good resource showing the need for good folate levels alongside B12 injections? I’m on 4-weekly B12 injections but my latest serum folate blood test is at the very low end of the range, but technically in range according to the NHS so ‘no action required’. It’s gone down while I’ve been

I checked yesterday afternoon and it was still posted as being at the sorting office. I tried to check this

Bleeding when injecting
Hi everyone, I have just done a IM in the outside upper thigh area which I always do, alternating legs I use. I have never had bleeding before until this recent injection when I can only describe as a spurt of blood which then became discoloured with the B12 appearing tinged brown. Should I be worried

Unsure about increasing T3
Hi Everyone, I’ve had my appointment with my thyroid specialist today and she wants me to increase my T3 from 15mcg a day to 25mcg a day and keep levo at 100mcg. However I’m really hesitant to do this as last time I increased my T3 (see my original post below) I got my T4 to 6 and felt awful. Plus I

Help! Have I messed up
I have just had a telephone consultation with a GP hoping for help with the symptoms I have been experiencing. I tried to point him in the direction of the relevant guidelines for treating B12 deficiency, he said that he was familiar with the NICE CKS as he deals with B12 all the time and I m not anaemic

Increased symptoms after injections.
I'm still trying to get my head around everything and I have a memory like a sieve regarding what I've read to date...I always have had so that's not necessarily due to the P.A. So after 18 years of 10 weekly injections I have now had one a week so far for the last 4 weeks as advised by a consultant.

Advice before I see the endo
hi oracles I could really do with some advice as to what I should do next. I’m going to see my Endo next Tuesday and my TSH is under the range, she’s going to want to reduce my meds and I don’t know what I feel anymore. Here’s my last results from private tests from 2 weeks ago … TSH - 0.154 Range

Psoriasis, Vitamin D and Shea Butter
Hello! I wanted to share my recent success with plaque psoriasis. (Backstory alert - skip to last couple of paragraphs for "point"🙃) - I've had psoriasis for several years now. Started with guttate psoriasis about 7 years ago (though at the time, I thought it was just a rash/an allergic reaction).

B12 Injection Side Effects
Hi! I had my first of 6 B12 injection yesterday and it’s totally floored me. It’s like I’ve been given a sleeping tablet I feel so groggy and spaced out, sick and dizzy and my arms and legs hurt too. Is this normal? The nurse giving it said there shouldn’t be any side effects apart from a sore or red

Uncooperative GP
My husband died in summer 2022 in hospital. At the time I was having very successful B12 loading injections for anaemia but after his death I was overwhelmed with work. I had asked the surgery not to use my mobile phone number (which they insisted on having) and use my landline instead but the GP
