Advice moving forward?
So I recently had blood tests that showed low b12, iron and vit D. Was prescribed tablets for the iron and vit D. And put on a course of B12 loading doses. 6 injections over 2 weeks. it's now been 2 weeks after the last b12 injection and none of my symptoms have improved. When I talked to the gp,

My Tumour is shrinking
I am at the end of chemo cycle. In August my tumour was 1cm after I had the MRI. So 80% removed from right side of my brain. I have gone to 1cm to 1.5cm. In the three MRI's. My latest one has shunk so much I think it is now a 1/4 in size, comparing August mri to this mri. I am so pleased. I have

Hello, Having B12 defiency my GP has been prescribing me oral B12 which got my levels to normal but hasn’t changed my symptoms. She then prescribed blood tests for parietal cell antibodies and intrinsic factor antibodies. Both were negative. She says therefore I only need B12 orally and not injections

My Last (IFN) Dose, my Fateful Decision One Year Ago
This is a long and not cheerful post, I understand if you don’t wish to wade fully or at all thru it. Sections are marked for easy reference. The thoughts are my opinions only. -- I wrote a few months ago on my botched flu vax anniversary. Today is the one year mark for my Last Dose of Besremi

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2019 by a Reumotologist whom during my appointment when through in detail with the symptoms and suggested treatments medically and non medical. But in 2023 I saw another Reumotologist who told me that it wasn’t fibromyalgia but low grade Rheumatoid arthritis because

Low B12 and ferritin questions
Over the past year I have had frequent respiratory infections and when not ill, I am always exhausted. I often need to stay in bed on my days off recovering. Alongside the exhaustion and frequent infections I have dealt with nausea and gastric problems which I always thought were due to IBS. I faint

My B12 System
I still go with my neurological system in evaluating success. I am morphing into deciding on treatment for my B12 system which started when I abandoned the concept of adding one supplement at a time without taking into account they all work together and how and why they work together is unknown. A

B12 how much and how often
I’ve been struggling with PA for 2 and 1/2 years. No one would listen. Finally from Israel I was advised to get the Intrinsic Factor Antibody Blood Test and the Parietal Cell Antibody Blood Test. Pernicious Anemia. I have to take a shot of Methylcobalamin daily. The Israelis recommend taking a shot

Loading doses
I will try and keep this as short as possible. 21 years ago GP diagnosed PA and up until 3 years ago I had B12 injections every 12 weeks. 3 years ago the CCG instructed GP's to cut down giving injections to anyone unless they had PA. My jobsworth GP decided to give me a blood test, which was in range

MMA result
Hi allJust got medichecks result which shows high lMMA level: 34.8ug/l (less than 32) Previous medichecks active B12 was 48.1 pmol/l (37.5-150) (they advised MMA test) Intrinsic factor antibodies negative (mum had PA) Does high MMA result indicate a functional b12 deficiency as opposed to dietary deficiency
