I have extensive RLS of all body parts, which is making my life hell. I saw within the past 3 months, a post by an RLS patient that he has been able to control effectively RLS by using Castor oil pads. But, I have not been able to locate the post due to my limitations, I would appreciate it if any member could locate it for me.

Please help in tracing the Post, effective control RLS by using Casrol oil pads
I think I was the one who originated that post. I heard that castor oil was good for pain. I have really bad neuropathy in my feet so started rubbing it on my feet before bed. Surprisingly, it worked like a dream for 6 days on my very bad RLS. Also has gotten rid of my neuropathy - so far. Unfortunately as with anything I ever try for anything, it did not work as well after the 6 days. But it has worked well enough that I have not needed to take my meds which no longer really work. I have a couple of tricks though. I don’t know if you are man or a woman, but for all the ladies out there this helps so much. Get a clitoral vibrator and when the RLS hits, use it. It’s a bit embarrassing talking about this to anyone, but I need to share. It does not completely take it away, but mutes it dramatically. I keep two at my bedside so I can grab a charged one when the other dies. I am not sure why it works so well. I think it redirects my attention away from my RLS. It is not sexual at all. All I want is to go to sleep. The other trick I have is to jump on my rebounder. I spend about 3 minutes jumping and then go back to bed. Sometimes it stops it. other times just mutes it.
I also take lots of magnesium glycinate before bed. There is a product called Seratame which is also helpful.
I don’t want to take any drugs if I don’t have to. I was taking cardiopa/levodopa for 2 years. Worked so well, but augemtation set in and now it doesn’t work at all.
RLS is a debilitating problem that I have lived with for 50 years. I inherited it from my mother. She called it the “creepy crawlies”. Very apt description.
To recap: Vibration, castor oil, jumping, magnesium, and Seratame have all helped to mute symptoms, but, unfortunately, has not gotten rid of them.
