Error but not a mistake
Having added Thiamine B1 and having it positive I regulated the changes by reducing the amount of times per day I supplemented. That was not an error. I did make the error of not quickly going back to my 5 times a day of supplementing. I do not consider it a mistake as how would I know? With the new

I have now seen an endocrinologist and had another set of tests. My TSH is not measurable at < 0.02, my FT4 is within range at 20.9 (11-22.7) and my FT3 is 5.9 (3.5 -6.5), much higher than it has ever been before. My previous results on 15/04 were TSH 0.02, FT4 23.6 (12-22), FT3 4.7 (3.1-6.8). These

Negative Reply from GP
I wrote to my GP advising the fact I had an iron infusion and hade started EOD B12 injections, etc. and asking if I could have the B12 ampoules on prescription. Needless to say I didn’t really expect them to say yes, and they didn’t surprise me! However I am very angry that they won’t accept the fact

Hi all, Have posted before. I have been on 3 monthly B12 injections for a long time, and recently been put on 2 monthly injections after a blood test due to symptoms getting worse. One symptom that seems to be getting worse, very hot feet, pins & needles really painful to walk on. Any suggestions

Folate/B12 advice
Folate - Serum 7.4 ug/L (>7)Vitamin B12 150 nmol/L (37.5 - 188) How can I get my folate up? I'm assuming it's way too low? I've been taking Thorne Basic B Complex or Liposomal B Complex daily for ages, plus a B12 spray occasionally if I forget. Should I take a seperate folate supplement?

Latest Medicheck results
I would really welcome any advice and comments on my latest Medicheck results as I am continuing to experience fatigue on a daily basis and generally feeling poo. I followed the guidelines of when to take Levothyroxine but continued to take B12 as I feel too unwell without it. TIA.

Hi everybody! I’m new here. Would be very grateful for your advice. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 17 years ago. It was in different country not in the UK. I have never been on medication as I was told if my T4 level is ok I don’t need any pills. I’m now in UK for about 5 years. I’ve never seen endocrinologist

B12 early days of injections
Hi, DH has started a course of B12 injections through a private clinic which specialises in vitamin injections. He has autoimmune thyroiditis, NCGS and psoriasis and is under investigation for Hashimoto’s encephalopathy due to memory and cognitive issues, though the neurologist can find nothing of concern

Medichecks vs. NHS Results
Hi all. I'm wondering whether FlipperTD or indeed anyone else with some technical know-how, can make sense of my blood results. I've recently gained access to my GP records and can see that I've had low ferritin for at least 4 years. Levels have ranged from 17ng/L to 27ng/L on a range of (10

PTH and aggressive PCa? I need guidance
Hello, everyone! I can really use some guidance. My husband’s PTH (Parathyroid hormone) has been elevated since his Dx (pre & post treatments) Being that his blood calcium is at normal levels, his MO ruled out Secondary Hyperparathyroidism, and moved on. But that never sat right with me. Why the elevated

self injecting and wondering what else I should be taking?
As per the title I am self injecting and was taking a really strong Folate 1000ug but then someone told me if you take to much folate it masks b12 deficiency ? I am wondering what I should be taking and what doses. Not just peoples opinions but scientifically proven.

How long did frequent urination take to stop once you were injecting every other day?
So as some have experienced and will know frequent urination is quite a common issue for this lack B12 (please no one reply saying it’s an infection it’s not I’ve had very expensive tests and hundreds of antibiotics) in February I had 6 loading doses and I swear by 5-6 one all my urination issues cleared

blood test needed
Quick question group - is it good practice to get a GP blood test (stating NO to B12 test as of IM) yearly for someone with AG PA? (Also take complex B12 supplements so being conscious about skewing results). What bloods should I ask for ? The usual group ? Many thanks
