Are rate control drugs necessary when heart rate is within a "normal range" although AF is 24/7?
For the first time in something like 6 years I have begun to experience some breathlessness and fatigue, previously I have been asymptomatic. GP took me off Bisoprolol and put me on Adizem-XL instead (I also have Warfarin and Losarten). I had to stop the Bisoprolol for a few days before starting the

My husband takes 4 x 25mg of co-beneldopa and has just been put on Requip x1 a day, as it says do not drive or use machinery
My husband has to drive to get to work and back, would it be okay to take this Requip before he goes to bed?

Dry mouth
I have been reading questions posed in the past about the problem of a dry mouth and wondered if anyone had found a solution to this. My mouth is very dry and I also have an unpleasant taste which seems to transfer itself to my food. I also have a sore tongue and mouth ulcers. The lack of saliva also

I would like to know what others do for their RLS when out of meds. I, normally, take Requip but, I moved and don't have a doctor, yet.
I get it worse in my arms and it is unbearable, tonight!

Is anyone suspicious of Requip actually causing PSP?
I have been watching my neighbor struggle with several diseases. The first was hydroencephalitis from which she fought back bravely. She was doing amazingly well after a shunt was implanted and extensive physical therapy. Now she has PSP and is not doing well. She is on sooo many medicines and I am

Requip (Ropinerole) and weight gain
I take 8mg of Requip per day. I noticed quite quickly that, slowly but surely, I was gaining weight. I did all the usual things - used a smaller plate, was careful what I ate, increased my exercise - but still it increases. Has anyone else had a similar problem and have they managed to lose the extra

Do different strengths of Ropinirol (as Requip XL) release their 'active ingredient' at the same rate over the same time?
I am juggling medication and am trying to establish or at least get an idea of how 4mg and 8mg versions of Requip Slow release compare. I take 2 x 8mg in the morning and 2 x 4 mg late in the evening as a top up. When I first started I established that the 2 x 8 mg decayed after about 16 / 18 hours .

Three weeks without pacing the floor every night for hours!!!
I started taking
Requip
XL
4mg three weeks ago because my standard one was not available (out of UK at the time). Apparently the slow release is not used here for RLS but I managed to get it from my GP as I told her my symptoms were so much better.

Blood Tests
I recently had a routine appointment with my Parkinsons Nurse. I have gained quite a lot of weight, which is linked to the Requip I am taking. However, I have never had any tests for Parkinsons. I was given a few mobility tests and that was how I was diagnosed. However, this time the Nurse asked when

Hashimotos and RLS - how long before i feel better?
Ive been diagnosed Hashimoto's for 3 years and RLS 1 year. We tried natural remedies - no caffeine, alcohol, increase exercise, quinnine etc to no avail so I'm now on Requip too. I take 400mcg tramadol to help with the leg pain daily but recently my RLS progressed to my left arm, making sleeping unbearable

Feedback please on ropinerole (Requip), benefits/issues when removed.
Okay, here's the scoop: I was diagnosed 2002, and had been feeling great most days with the usual down time after busy days, stress, etc., except for OCD and other side effects from Requip. PD off times are much worse since neuro's attempts to remove the Requip, (from 12 mg./a.m. to 1 mg./3xda. currently

Is anyone taking anything for Restless Legs (and Limbs)
I get dreadful restless legs, can be any time of day, though worse at night. It will stop me getting to sleep no matter how tired I am, so I get up and wait half an hour before going back to bed. I also get it on journeys. I am on Gabapentin for muscle spasms but now the doc has put me on ReQuip tritating

Swollen Feet and Ankles
I have put my question somewhere else - am not familiar with the new system as yet. I am on Dilzem XL capsules and they certainly have improved my breathing but I really have very swollen feet and ankles. The leaflet inside the box says one in ten people suffer with swollen feet whilst taking this

Requip, Sinemet, swollen ankles and more...anyone else have similar problems?
Dx 2010 having had symptoms ( resting tremor, sleeping difficulties, overactive bladder and general fatigue)since 2004. As things were clearly progressing I was then prescribed 8mg Requip Modutab ( controlled release)for two and half years before it was increased to 10 mg when symptoms became less well

Medication - 'Requip'
Has anyone with PSP tried this medication or something similar? Medication and its side effects has always been a concern of mine and it is 'yet' another medication that had been suggested to my husband to try.
