It does appear that I am experiencing acute
renal
failure
(
renal
function in June was top of the range!) so I’m now being investigated. The above results are causing my GP no concern at the moment. I’ve stopped my Vit D supplement. Any thoughts regarding the above would be appreciated.

Discomfort
I was diagnosed with Copd in 2015 , since then I was diagnosed with heart failure but a recent angiogram gave a good result with no arteries problems & before that the cardiologist was pleased with me. I am not gasping for breath with the Copd but I get discomforted with doing the least thing and

Have just spent a week in Hospital with chest infection which has agrevated my A/F and given me slight heart failure. How long to recover ?
This came on by feeling a bit breathless six weeks ago. I am still feeling tired and rough a lot on the time saw heart failure nurse today who put me on Ramipril as well as Bisoprolol 5mg twice per and Digoxin 125mcg per per day. Any advice would be appreciated.

Gut affected by Scleroderma
In July, she had
renal
failure
and was admitted to Intensive Care shortly after her first dialysis with all her major organs failing. The condition has affected her guts severely and is unable to drink or eat. She is constantly retching and vomiting bile which is getting worse.

Robotic catheter ablation
Hi, I’m scheduled for robotic catheter ablation with the Stereotaxis system. I’ve had PVCs (pre-ventricular contractions, an arrhythmia not mentioned much in these posts) since my early teens (for about 50 years), and a recent holter showed that 21% of my heartbeats are now irregular. Monitored but untreated

Can Iron deficiency cause AF ?
A blood test several months ago showed up low ferritin levels and 3 months after I had my first AF which I had a cardioversion for. Last week I had a new blood test and my ferritin level is exactly the same even after taking iron tablets for 6 months. After doing research I found that low iron is common

Heart Failure concerns
Hi all, I'm concerned I may have heart failure. I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF almost 12 months ago and am due to go for a check up at Cardiology in 6 weeks. As I understand AF most people seem to feel fine in between bouts of AF, whereas I feel tired, have a bloated belly, persistent slight cough

My name is Kathy and I am at
renal
failure
(so they say). I have been fighting this for months. I lived in Milwaukee County all my life and was diagnosed as having Stage 3 for a couple years. I had to move to Green Bay when I was laid off and could not get another job nor afford my high rent.

COPD
So I saw the doctor today and he said it’s not an infection, it’s COPD progressing. He said that it’s end stage severe. His lungs are not functioning correctly and now needs 24 hour oxygen at 4.... what does all this mean?!? He also has heart failure

End stage renal failure
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site but have scrolled through for the past hour and would like to comment on the positive attitudes that is coming through. For the last 17 years I knew I had kidney disease although for the first 10 I can quite easily say I was in the dark as my Dr told me very little,

Cheap, quick test identifies pneumonia patients at risk of respiratory failure or sepsis.
Spanish researchers in Valencia have identified specific fragments of genetic material that play a role in the development of respiratory failure and sepsis in pneumonia patients. Presenting the research at the European Respiratory Society International Congress [1] today (Wednesday), Dr Francisco Sanz

Renal Failure Best Nephrologists? Additional patients forum?
Renal
Failure
. Egfr about 10. Creatinine 5.5. 8 years ago had nephrectomy for Renal Cell Carcinoma. But the quick deterioration in the past few weeks is unexplained by the nephrologist, or by ultrasound scan. Now being considered for dialysis at home.

Hello All! It’s been a while. I write here for my mother who is now 93 hrs old. She’s had AF for over 30 yrs now. She went into end stage congestive heart failure the beginning of this year, so her doctor put her on Hospice. They are giving her comfort care now and she is actually doing a bit better
