Listen to your body.
Hi all, just a reminder to have any symptoms checked out. I had a left side stent fitted in January 2019 and went through the usual worries and stresses with this unexpected procedure. Lost weight and kept up my healthy walking habits along with upper body exercises. All went great until 3 months ago

Well tomorrow morning I will finally know whether I had a stent fitted during my last angiography at the beginning of September last year. If I haven't it's going to be a bit of a dilemma as to whether to go for a stent or not as I have been relatively angina free (and when I have had its been relatively

Referral for Angiogram
After a recent telephone conversation with a cardiologist I am being referred for an angiogram (with angioplasty if required). Over the last two years have begun to find hills a little harder. Looking for good advice and positive comments on how I can prepare myself prior to the procedure for good outcomes

Feeling positive
So 9 months after heart attack and stent treatment I'm now off 2 pills Colpidogrel and Ramipril. Still taking 3 but feel it's positive. Always been active and healthy and many hobbies so this was a mega shock. But now feeling great getting back to most of my activities and my lovely 9 month old border

Stopping Statins
hi guys after a year last year, of frightening chest pains and ? Heart attacks, going through umpteen tests and a stent procedure ( they didn’t put one in as my heart disease was not significant enough). I went from being on 5 daily meds for my heart to then being discharged completely with just taking

Stents AFTER failed CABG
Had stents fitted on Wednesday. Got home last night after a stay in CCU overnight. I was told at the time the surgeon managed to stent all three arteries (even the fully blocked one with 2 long stents, yayy!) Now I'm home and read the discharge letter it says one balloon to one artery and stents in the

Angioplasty not angiogram?
Hi all, as you probably know it looks like two of my bypasses have failed only 8 months after having 4 done😩. I’ve been under investigation and I was told last week they were getting me in quickly for an angiogram then decide the next step? Today I’ve had a letter saying I’m in on the 3rd March for

First post. LVT recovery and exercise
Hi all, been reading posts for the last few weeks and now plucking up courage to post myself. I had a HA on Xmas day while half way on a 30 mile ride. Hindsight says I shouldn’t have ridden home but I did, silly boy! Troponin of 4K+ suggests a bad one and ended up with one stent and, 2 weeks later,

Confused about reliability of visual fields tests results
Hello everyone,I'm feeling confused about how visual fields tests relate to real life experience of visual changes. I'm wondering how to communicate with consultants etc if what I experience, and what their tests say, don't match up. Today at my glaucoma clinic appointment I did a visual fields test

Stents AFTER Bypass Surgery and fully occluded LAD.
On Wednesday I'm having multiple Stents in my LAD, Circumflex and RCA after my triple bypass in Sept failed. My LAD is chronically occluded and my consultant has said he will try his best to stent it. Fortunately, the blockage is lower down the artery which is why I haven't (praise God, as yet) had a

Struggling after heart attack and covid
Had a heart attack In September, did not have a stent inserted as hospital said that due to the ambulance taking 5 hours to arrive it was too late for treatment. Was recovering and getting stronger but then my husband caught covid and gave it to me. No longer testing positive but it is 2 weeks now

GTN Spray or tablets?...
Hi. I'm due to go away for 3 months to a very hot area without Aircon or refrigeration. I not on my GTN spray it has a temperature storage range and I'll not be able to meet that range - it will be too hot. Would I be better off with tablets? Incidentally I've not had to use the spray once since a stent

It’s gone a bit pear shaped
I posted the other day about having a stress echo, I knew it hadn’t gone well after all it lead to an angina attack. I’ve been having mild chest pains ever since my quadruple CABG last June which I thought would improve but it hasn’t. My surgeon called me today to tell me it looks like there is a problem

Small lump at radial artery site for stent catheter
I have a stent fitted last Friday and I have just noticed a small lump with a pulse near the entry site for the catheter in wrist. Is this a normal thing and do it require any treatment ? or will it go away on its own.

Gabapentin
Hi everyone. Does anyone have experience with gabapentin for anxiety and depression? Some background. My Father passed away in March 2022, which left me devastated. I was then diagnosed with a heart condition requiring a stent. Since then I have really been struggling. I used to be very fit and active
