My visit to breast assessment clinic yesterday after my recent mammogram showed an area of concern in right breast. I had cancer with treatment to my left breast 2020 so an area of concern in my other breast was not what I wanted to hear. I spent the afternoon having scans, ultrasounds and several needle biopsies. Results in 7-10 days. Whatever it is has been caught early for which I am grateful for. Radiologist was lovely said I would be hearing from my Breast Cancer Surgeon who I have great confidence in. My concerns with having needle biopsies and the fact I was on Edoxaban was met with "no worries the nurse will just press on the areas for a longer time". All was fine in that respect. The only issue I had after my time in Assessment Clinic was that my etopics went a little mad and I needed to give myself a good talking too to calm myself down. I have another Holter being fitted this Weds with full bloods to see if my GP can get to the bottom of why I had two episodes of feeling I was going to collapse. If Holter shows something of concern I have contact details for my EP's secretary. I am grateful that as far as my heart is concerned I am being supported and listened to.
All in all I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and anxious. I have to get a handle on this as my husband is back to Cardiology in a couple of weeks. He had a stent fitted in 2020 and still has issues which have resulted in increased angina recently so they need to see him.
I send my best wishes and a gentle hug to all of you that are going thro a stressful time with your health. x

My very best wishes to you also & I everything crossed for you 🤞 my friend went through this just recently, she suffers with serious anxiety so it was an incredibly difficult time for her. The clinic phoned her about 2 weeks before her biopsy follow up appt to say is was benign. I hope it's the same outcome for you x
I am on clopidogrel and I had a haematoma after my first slightly abnormal biopsy a few years ago. I had to wait 2 weeks to allow the swelling to go down before my 2nd biopsy then another 2 weeks for the all clear.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for both you and your husband.
Thinking of you and sending a huge hug. This happened to my redoubtable friend recently = she had breast cancer 20 years ago which was successfully treated then it came back in the other breast a couple of years ago. She had a mastectory this time and is now taking drugs for life - but is fighting fit and off to Istanbul in a few weeks. Fingers crossed this will be nothing to be concerned about, you have so much to deal with just now. x
