More stents and Weird Feeling advice and experience please
Following a stent in April and still getting pains, despite being told all was ok now, after pushing for more tests I was booked in for another stenting. Long story short some SOB and pain ended up in A&E and treated as in patient Angiogram and 3 long stents to my LAD I’m hoping that’s it now ! a

Stent in trunk coronary artery
Hi - has anyone had a blockage in this artery? I was in Spain when I had my HA and the Cardiologist tried to explain but the language barrier got in the way. The final report was in Spanish too.

Invited for my unmentionable this week, feeling unexpectedly anxious, advice needed!
I'm not anti-V but I unexpectedly feel anxious about getting my boo-ster this week after my heart attack & stent last month. I'm 48, female & have a healthy, active lifestyle so for me, my heart attack came out of nowhere. Now I'm on 7 drugs every day, with a blooming GTN spray I'm having to use a couple

Slow recovery and set backs after angiogram and stent
I had an angiogram and stent inserted in late July after three weeks of angina. It was diagnosed as uncontrolled angina, it came on rapidly over three weeks and got worse very quickly. I suspected that is what it was and was happy with what was done and how quickly they did it, arrived 10am, stent inserted

Angiogram/Angioplasty
Hi I am having an Angiogram/Angioplasty on the 22nd of September and have my pre-op on the 18th, what is the normal recovery from this procedure if nothing is actually carried out after looking through the arteries and recovery if a stent or anything is done? I am currently doing the BHF 10,000 steps

update
Morning everyone, just an update on my situation. Yesterday by phone I had a pre assessment done and all being well will go into hospital on the 25 th for a pressure wire test with the view if needed then a stent fitted. I have waited three months for this appointment so will update once I know more.

My last 4 months
On Friday 28th April I had a major heart attack in front of my husband and daughter, They thought I was over reacting until my daughter rang 999. They advised her that I was having a heart attack and advised her where the local defib was. 999 could not get a crew out to me for 90mins. They took me to

Stents V Bypass -Update
Firstly thank you to all those who replied to my original post. I have just seen the surgeon who has indicated short of saying it that I should have a bypass and a mechanical valve. Quoting the better option to prolong life and limit further procedures in the future. The stent consultant feels he

What do constitutes heart failure?
If you have a stent inserted. Does this mean I have what is called heart failure. My specialist has never used these words but now I’m wondering. So what exactly does heart failure mean?

When to start exercise?
Caveat: I understand I am not asking for or receiving medical advice. Simply canvassing opinion from those with similar experience etc. I had a stent inserted a month ago. It wasn't a planned procedure. I haven't been contacted by NHS cardiac rehab for my initial assessment yet. This could take some

How/when to evaluate choice of ADHD medicine?
My 6 year old was recently diagnosed with ADHD and began medication. The doctor recommended that we start him on Jornay PM given its nighttime administration and unique release kinetics. After ~ 2 weeks and having titrated up the initial starting dose, we haven't seen much of an impact. In fact,

My ex husband had a triple by-pass and not very long afterwards a major stroke. He survived for another 10 years but lost the use of his left side. Had no idea at the time that apparently it is an associated risk. He had high blood pressure but would not get treatment for it so I think this must have

Can coughing irritate a new stent & how bad should chest pain be before I use GTN?
Hello, I've got couple of questions - I know pain is subjective but thought I'd ask anyway! It's about 6wks since my HA & stent. The first few weeks after leaving hospital were tricky, with a few random severe pain events that had me whisked into hospital, despite my protestations, and are now

NHS Stent Treatment
Hi all, At the beginning of August I had the trabeculoplasty treatment. Unfortunately that never worked and my pressure is still really high they are now talking about doing another treatment asap. It’s something to do with putting a stent in my eye and it should help open the drainage and

Amlodipine for angina
My husband, who is nearly 72, had a heart attack in April last year caused by high cholesterol. He had a stent fitted, told that his heart had no damage and was put on Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day, ramipril 2.5mg twice a day (now changed to Losartan 50mg once a day), ticagrelor for a year and aspirin
