Hi if people have been following my story you will know I’ve been waiting on a stent to be fitted to a 100 per cent blocked lad artery. After being cancelled 3 times I had my date of the 31st August but unfortunately I couldn’t wait any longer . I had a heart attack on the 29th August 2 days before my procedure. I am now out of hospital after having a stent and 2 balloons put in my lad artery recovering. I just feel so disappointed with my treatment and feel if I had of had my stent sooner I would have recovered sooner, but now it’s going to take longer. The NHS has failed me the system is on its knees.
heart attack : Hi if people have been... - British Heart Fou...
heart attack
Hello
I am sorry you feel so let down and you had another heart attack before you got your stent done you you must be going through all kinds of emotions
It is not easy but try and stay focused the stent is in and the balloons that were needed and you will recover even if it takes longer but you are still here and will soon be feeling better and all this will be behind you and you can look forward to a brighter future
Let us know how you get on x
Hi, sorry you had to go through all that like Be kind said you are still here there is so many things going on with the NHS at the moment lot of people have been let down but look you have had your procedure and everything is fine just look forward do whatever you have to do to get back feeling like yourself. You will be fine. Sending you loads of Best wishes lots of love.
Hang in there, you had a rough go of it for certain. I can't believe that with a 100% blocked LAD they put off treatment for so long. I too had some misadventures with my cardiologist -- also leading to a heart attack -- and I was bitter and angry for a long time. I have mostly gotten over it when I realized that looking back is a bad coping strategy. I try my best to look forward.
Good morning.... sorry you had the delay followed by another heart attack but now that you've had the treatment, try not to focus on what didn't happen. So many of us on here have had delays in treatment, myself included and it's so worrying at the time. My aftercare hasn't been the best either but again I try not to dwell on that as feeling negative is not a good aid to recovery.Try to look forward now and think about what you will be able to do . All the best with your recovery. Take care x
Sad..but yes..if you had gotten your stent in time you could have avoided the HA...the Gov't prefers to send money to another country who is being pushed into war by others instead of investing where it is really needed in their own country..nevertheless..I wish you compleye recovery and better Experience in our health system..
I’m a bit puzzled. How did they know it was 100% blocked? Surely if you had angioplasty to find this out wouldn’t it have been logical to fit the stent then as happened to me? I try to look positive as much as I can but I as Mrs Angry for quite a while after my HA. Try not to stress about too much and look forward. Take care.
So sorry this has happened to you, its a shame to say but the nhs has gone so downhill many people feel they don't feel safe when they are literally putting their life in the hands of them, I had an episode a couple of years back at my gp and they suspected a blockage but not sure why nothing was ever done and then sometime between my yearly appointments of 2021 and 2022 I'd had a silent heart attack and cardio are putting it to a surgery I had in 2018!! I have no idea why. I hope your recovery goes better than what you have had happen so far! Best of wishes.
Oh that must be so frustrating and disappointing. I just wanted to wish you all the best now you have had your treatment. Best thoughts 😊
I'm so sorry... if you can look on the bright side (despite being let down)
Your recovery will benefit from a positive mindset
Not always easy ... thinking of you Lemon31
