Unexpected visit to A&E

Have angina and as some of you might have read on here took part in ORBITA. 2 trial at Basildon cardiothoratic centre late 2022.. Was given a stent to completely blocked LAD and have been mostly angina free since. Fast forward to this week 3 1/2 weeks post total knee replacement and have had niggling chest pains this week, culminating in yesterday having chest pain which g.n.T spray didn't relieve.. Ended up calling ambulance and trip to local A&E. Was a bit concerned about possibility of blood clots. After 2 blood tests as tropin was a bit raised (16/17) ended up having a chest x Ray and c.t. Scan. Thankfully no sign of clots or heart attack. Doc now taken me off amlodipine and put me back on 30mg of isosorbide tablets . Thinks angina might have become unstable and been referred to rapid chest pain clinic at local hospital ( not that I have much faith that an appointment for that will actually happen.)

Hello :-)

Yes I do remember and I also remember when you found out you did have a stent :-)

I am sorry to read that your angina might have triggered of and you ended up with a trip to A&E but they will sort this out which I am sure you know even though it seems so unfair after everything you have been through

I understand how you feel about not having much faith about an appointment coming through but I hope it does and I am sure you will chase it up if not

Let us know how you get on :-) x
