The digestive and nutritional benefits of Dill
This may be thought a bit off topic but actually, it isn't as iron, folate, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium and glutathione are often discussed on the forum . Dill is my favourite herb - the aroma always takes me back long ago to a visit to Ireland made with my mother and a wonderful meal cooked and

Questions for First Visit to Radiation Oncologist
Okay guys, I'm asking for your insights.... I was diagnosed in November 2010 and had a radical prostatectomy in January 2011 (3+4, pT2c N0 M0, negative margins, no extra capsular extension, no seminal vesicle involvement). My post-surgery PSA remained undetectable for 54 months and then came in at 0.05

The problem with active surveillance.
New Swedish study below. [1] Over-detection of PCa has led to overtreatment, & ultimately, to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendation against PSA–based screening for prostate cancer. At one point, Dr. Myers suggested "Don't call it (Gleason 3+3) cancer!" That's all very well,

Are you a, or do you know of a, GP Doctor that reads this forum?
I wonder sometimes what is going on in Doctors surgeries up and down the country. When there are so many people who are either B12 deficient or suffering with PA, and either getting substandard care or none at all. I didn't even know that vitamin B12 was important for survival or being deficient in it

Hi to all-
Dad and I (Deb) have been following the site but first time for posting. Thank you all for sharing. I’ve been taking care of Dad since his diagnosis in 2011. We held steady with Lupron for the first two years or so, but since then, it’s been an aggressive battle. I don’t want to go back and second guess

Survival after radical prostatectomy or radiotherapy for locally advanced (cT3) prostate cancer.
New study below. "Within the SEER database (2004-2014), we identified 5500 cT3N0-1 PCa patients." "Ten-year {cancer-specific mortality} and {other cause of mortality} rates were significantly higher after {external beam radiotherapy} (15.8 and 28.2%) than {radical prostatectomy} (8.1 and 10.4%)." New imaging technique pinpoints PC location
I am about to start Taxotere chemotherapy. I had a relatively new imaging technique using a PET scan with Axumin. This $4K radio-pharmaceutical identifies exactly where the PC has metastasized. In my case it’s lymph nodes in the abdomen, the place where my prostate used to be, and one vertebrae.

Penile Shortening after Radical Prostatectomy, with video.
This is a follow-on from: EricE's: "Radical Prostectomy and Penis Growth?" Not to be confused with loss of function & the need for "rehabilitation". Looking at the studies, one is struck by the seeming indifference to the problem. Men must have been complaining of the issue, or at least remarking on

Vitamin Tablets - Can we take them?
Hi All Prior to my angioplasty I was taking Vitamin B complex, Vitamin D and Vitamin C tablets. I have asked if I can take three again and have been met with mixed reviews. Are any of you taking the above after having angioplasty? Kind regards Tracy 😊

B VITAMINS ARE VITAL. I did not recover from Hashi's til I took individual B vitamins
DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL 8 B VITAMINS? Most medical students are taught that people do not need vitamins and supplements. If you eat a balanced diet, they are told, you get all of the nutrients needed. I was told this in medical school and it is still the mantra being disseminated decades later. The

Taking supplements in combination with ADHD stimulant medication is very beneficial, but there is another important detail to adhere
This detail is THE ORDER & Time in which you take your supplements. If you've read some of my posts on the importance of supplements, know my story, and know a bit of the trial and error of selecting the proper supplement for you, then you can skip these small 4 paragraphs below and go to the list at
