Good news to share!
After radical prostatectomy, chemo clinical trial, and radiation during 2001-2002, I watched my psa do its long slow climb. I began Lupron injections about five years ago. The number dropped to about 0.84, then began another long slow climb. After a PSMA PET scan revealed that there were "no distant

Testing procedure
Hi I’m going to be testing my bloods on Monday the 4th of July and would like a reminder of the procedure please. I take my T4 and T3 between 4-4.30 in the morning,I know not to take the meds on the morning of the test but I’m unsure about the T3 as if I recall right that’s different. I’m planning on

Why not start therapy the moment you know you have PC?
I've often wondering why know hormone therapy was given until I blew my PSA out of the water 14 weeks after the Radical Prostatectomy. 1) I found out I had cancer in later Feb 2020 2) I met with a urologist/surgeon on March 13, he recommended Robotic 3) I meet with the Robotic Surgeon on March

Need advice on thyroid issues
Hello everyone, need some help on my thyroid condition. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis in 2019, because of thyroid antibodies being high and with hypothyroidism based on my TSH and T3 and T4 levels. I’ve been taking medication since then, things have been up and down since then. However

IP6 + Inositol seems to be working for me.
After battling PCa for nearly 19 years with disappointments galore, I may now have found something with positive results. I had radical prostatectomy in August 2003 (Gleason: 4+3) which was followed by a very gradual PSA rise over 11 years. I had conventional treatments (salvage radiation, spot radiation

Rationale For Declining PSA Test?
One of my best friends went in for his annual the other day since I had a Prostate Cancer Diagnosis and a Radical Prostatectomy. I had a lot of conversations about all the information I found, going through the biopsy, the treatment decisions and recovery after surgery. To my surprise he declined to

Looking for peer reviewed studies about vitamins and Thyroid
There's a lot of talk on this forum about the importance of Vitamin B, Ferritin, Selenium and others in combating thyroid disease. Before I ask my Endo to test for the levels of vitamins in my blood, I'd like to be able to substantiate these claims with some research. He typically tests for TSH, T3,

What does my dads PET scan results mean?
My fathers cancer has returned. What do these results mean? Hello everyone, I’ll try to keep this short — This is my (29m) first time posting here. My father (63 years old now) was diagnosed with prostate cancer 5 years ago. He had it removed and then went through radiation therapy. It ended up

A question for Tall_Allen, j-o-h-n, LearnAll, tango65 and a lot of other guys smarter than me. In Aug 2019 I had a Radical prostatectomy. Nov 2019 I was dx with mCRPC and 6 bone lesions throughout my body. I’ve run the gambit of Bicalutamide, Docetaxel, Abiraterone, Cabazitaxel, still taking Lupron

Disappointed - any testing companies that deal with under 18s?
I was diagnosed with hypothroidism a couple of months ago, with vitamin b and vitamin d deficiency (I suspect I've had it much longer, as my mum also has it). I now believe my 15 year old daughter may also have thyroid problems - she is constantly exhausted, has heavy and painful periods, has terrible

New blood results: please help interpret!
Hi All, Since I last posted, i haven’t changed any meds (still on 125mg of levo mercury pharma brand, taken at night) I tried to take the vitamin b complex recommended on here, but it gave me extreme itching sensations- so i stopped this. (That was 2 weeks ago) I decided to get an advanced thyroid panel

Hello again Thought I would share my good news which has only come about because of this forum. My levothyroxine has been increased to 100mcg daily. I did initially get the "well you are within range" malarky but through knowledge gained on this forum I was able to quote the keeping at 1 or below when

Do I need k2 now I've been prescribed D3?
Hi everyone. Just had an appointnent to discuss blood test results with my gp. He has prescribed me D3 loading dose of 50,000iu, one tablet a week for 6 weeks, as my vitamin d level was 14. He has also prescribed 6 vitamin b injections, every two days for the next two weeks. My question is whether

Update on "How credible is my report"
Finally got an explanation as to why my DCFPyl PET scan was reported as radical prostatectomy and not a prior RT . My GP called the radiology lab (in my presence) and got another Radiologist to review the scans. He confirmed the 4 'uptakes' and said he could understand the initial radiologist interpretation

6 weeks post Covid - thyroid symptoms exacerbated
Hi all, Can I just ask do we think Covid effects the thyroid? I have hashimotos and take T4 and T3 (along with high dose vitamin D, B vitamins and spatone). I was super active before Covid but six weeks on from what was a mild infection I’m struggling with horrible fatigue, sore throats and aching -

Fibroids after menopause
I've had a trans vaginal ultrasound and an 8cmx8cm fibroid was found. I've known I had fibroids since 2012 but never had any issues with them. This was found because I went to my GP with pelvic discomfort and some urinary issues. I have Vaginal/vulval and cervical atrophy and its 6 years since my last

Slight rise in thyroid antibody
I’ve had lots of weird symptoms seen a number of consultants still no proper diagnosis. I have positive family history for hypothyroidism but my results just bump along borderline low t3 tsh that ranges from 3 to 4.5. I did a trial of levothyroxine but made me feel very unwell. I have got nodules on
