My fev1 is 69 and Sp02 is 95-98 at rest.
My fev1 is 69 and Sp02 is 95-98 at rest. I can get up and walk up and down 2 flights of stairs with my Sp02 staying the same or rising. I do not get breathless. When I sit, it drops to about 90 and slowly rises to 98-99. Am I hypoxic? I'm certainly confused. Thanks :-)

Lung function?
I see a lot of people mention their lung function percentage. Do they mean FEV1, DLCO, or something else?. Just curious.

Fev1 results improved!!
I am pleased to say I have just had my COPD review and results from my recent spiro test. The COPD nurse assures me that my fev1 has gone from 56% last September (although nobody told me I had COPD at that time) to 69% now. she said due to all the results I am now in the mild category not moderate thanks

Suspected Bronchiolitis Obliterans - I'm terrified
Hi all, I'm new to this site. I'll just give some background info. First let me state i'm a non smoker and have never smoked but lived at home for 26 years with my mum who chain smokes. About 10 years ago I noticed I was getting a lot of chest infections and quite short of breath when I tried to go

Coming off bisophorol
Stopped my daily 1.25mg of bisophorol 5 days ago following clear holter and stress test. All ok but yesterday had real noticeable PVC's - any one else had this, is this a normal reaction to coming off this? Thanks

Assertive Velvets Report
Good morning to you all. Well I went for my annual check up yesterday well armed with questions since joining this site. First I saw the respiratory nurse who gave me all the tests. Then I sat there and put all my question to her. She was surprised to say the least and told me most people with copd don't

Help! Advice needed.
Just joined this wonderful site today. I have been diagnosed with severe COPD. My fev1 was 82% this time last year and is now 39%. Last year I was going on 8 ml hikes over hill and dale, whereas today I can't walk from my lounge to my kitchen without my sats dropping to 88%. I have been off work for

Decline in FEV1 or Not
Here's a report I posted on another forum. It relates to the decline in FEV1 over time. It might answer some questions for some of you regarding the progressive nature (or not) of COPD. http://www.researchgate.net/profile/Alvar_Agusti/publication/51712503_Changes_in_forced_expiratory_volume_in_1_second_over_time_in_COPD

Has anyone had palpitations with a high TSH level?
Hi guys. Just really need some guidance as I have been suffering since March this year of subclinical hypo but alongside that I've been having skipped heartbeats, I'm under a cardiologist now as my palpitations are classed as PVCs (extra beats) and I'm having some 3 in a row at times which is scaring

My GP is the one who diagnosed me via spirometry, FEV1 64% - FEV1/FVC 70%. She put me on Breo Ellipta right away, but I think it made me worse. I get chest burning, sore/red throat, and lightheaded. She just switched me to Spiriva. I go see a pulmonary Dr on the 25th. Anyone else have problems with

Newbie, and scared
I was just diagnosed with moderate COPD on May 22. My FEV1 is 64%, and ratio is 70%. At this point, my CT scans and CXRs are clear. GP referred me to pulmonary Dr. I see him on the 25th. I have an 11 yr old son at home and wonder if I'm gonna be around to watch him grow. I don't have significant
