Doubting my diagnosis of COPD.
I failed a lung function test two years ago and I have since received a bunch of conflicting information. According to the test I have low FEV1 and FVC with Over average TLC and 80 percent FEV1/FVC ratio with low DLCO. I have had a chest X-ray and one HRCT scan that revealed no abnormalities, and did

I'm scared and depressed. Help please.
Hi, my name is Susan, and I was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 emphysema. Found out from a CT scan of my chest. I was not surprised, because I have smoked since I was 20 yrs. old. I'm now 58. The nurse told me that they go by the FEV1 to figure out the stages. Mine was 2.09 and she said Stage 2.

any suggestions?
Hi everyone Just looking for suggestions regarding my asthma as feel like I've hit a dead end - I'm a lifelong allergic asthmatic but has got gradually worse in the last 10 years. Currently taking Seretide 250 (tried Fostair and Symbricourt without success) then had Qvar added on as an extra steroid

Normal FEV1 , Normal FVC , Reduced FEV1/FVC - but Dr insists its NOT COPD
FEV1/FVC reduced- but Pulmonologist insist it is not COPD . I am a 35 Year old male , who has never smoked . Has a regular work out routine. I had an appointment with my pulmonogist as a follow up to a a CT scan I had taken as part of my immigration physical. The CT scan was to rule out any active

Big thank you
Hi it’s Pabba. Just want to say big thank you to everyone who replied to my post on Latest meds. I was pretty much overwhelmed by the fantastic response and everyone’s advice was gratefully received. Somehow it’s comforting to realise that, Hey, your not the only one suffering with this thing, in fact

Atrial runs
More often than not they one straight after the other with no breaks, but sometimes there's the odd
PVC
thrown in for good measure. I understand that the odd atrial beat is normal, just wondered about this. Letter from electrophysiologist just says 'will keep an eye on it'.

Confused with numbers
Hi, I just got my first numbers two days ago and to be honest I’m sad and scared. All my numbers were good except for FEV1/VC I scored around 69 , FEV1 95 . Doctor said I have mild COPD and he already expected that before getting the speedometer result. I asked if this can get better , he gave me two

Spirometry
Well just had Spiro done again today😥 and a little shocking. 3rd December 2015 were the previous ones FVC 89.5% of predicted FEV1 83.8% of predicted FEV1 % VC Max 90.5% of predicted Today the titles are different so trying to work it out but I think they are FVC 71% of predicted FEV1 73% of predicted

Afib - 32 year old male
Hello, Looking for advice, and am posting on my phone so I’ll try to keep short. In December I went to the ER with what the doctor said was Afib. My heart rate wasn’t fast just beating irregularly. Since that time I’ve had PVC’s every night when I lay down to go to sleep. I was taking atenolol which

Heart arrhythmias, especially when tired
I'm new to this site and am glad to see posts relating to AFib and other people's experiences. I have been diagnosed with sick sinus node and have a pacemaker and take flecainide for AFib along with Metoprolol. I also have SVT. Lately I have been having crazy arrhythmias that seem to be worse when I

Spirometry results - help please!
