PVCs

I have PAF and due my first ablation at the start of September at Barts.

Last night I had a PVCs for the first time . Am I right in thinking that this type of ectopic is the dangerous type ?

To the best of my knowledge and belief no ectopic beats are dangerous. OK they may occasionally feel like a punch in the chest but are considered benign.

Out of interest, how do you know they are PVC'S?
