After being forgotten in the exam room ...1 hour later nurse had to locate the doctor, who wasn't even in the building...... anyway, found that my echo and blood work to be very good. I was told...and I kind of thought this as well, that what I was feeling in my chest were pvcs...not Afib. Not concerned about the pvcs and nothing prescribed for them. I am to stay on the Eliquis and antiarrythmic drug as he was happy that I haven't had any more Afib episodes. I'm not questioning his diagnosis ...but I did only have one Afib episode along with being very dehydrated from stomach illness and praying I will not have another. Am going to discuss all of my tests, ecgs and prescriptions, etc. with my PCF...who I trust completely. Any comments welcome.

It can't make you feel valued as a patient when you're forgotten and left in the waiting area!! Did you get an apology for that? It's good that your echo and blood work were good though.
What does PCF stand for?

This as happened to me twice but not recently as you have to wait outside and be called, this is going to be a real problem during bad weather this winter.
Both my husband and I on 2 separate occasions got forgotten. I now go make a nuisance of myself if sat for more than 20 mins.
Only comment was that your physician seems to have covered the bases and unfortunately PVC’s although can cause concern in us, don’t seem to concern doctors. I have found that Long, Slow, Deep breaths and learning to breath through my nose and getting good quality sleep helps.
I myself have never been forgotten. My wife was once waiting in the waiting area to see a consultant with her elderly Aunt who had dementia and noticed that others seemed to be going in before her. Ok they were early for the appointment - as usual and maybe some were going to see other Drs. They had booked in properly and take urine sample so thought maybe a few of the patients were maybe urgent last minute cases. You have probably guessed by now that they had missed her Aunt and gone on to other patients. Don't know what they thought these two women were sat there for over an hour were there for though? Eventually they got seen after enquiring as to what had happened to their appointment time. I think Auntie would still be sat there if no one had been with her or would probably have gone home when the hospital transport called back for her without even seeing the consultant had she been alone - she wouldn't have known poor old lady. Made me think.
