Switching from Bisoprolol to Carvedilol - side affects, time to adjust?
Afternoon all, Background is I had 2 ablations in 2019 but Afib started coming back in 2021 so I was put onto flecainide and bisoprolol. The flec ended up causing more issues but since stopping flecainide and staying on bisoprolol I've been doing pretty well. I was on a very low does of 1.25mg daily

Is it common to get laryngitis with aps?
I have what seems like laryngitis for 4 weeks now. I'm struggling to talk for long. I'm seeing my ENT doctor Thursday for my ears and hope he will help with my throat (probably won't because it's ear clinic). Just wanted to say I haven't had any sort of virus before this I'm just wondering if aps can

GENERALLY! Is there a correct sleeping position, right recovery position, left recovery position, back, high back support, v pillow, etc?
On an ordinary mattress, sleeping on one side, especially if overweight [now slightly👌], night after night, could it cause damage to internal organs, liver, stomach, heart, lungs etc. I have had back surgery [25 years ago], broken [fragile] clavicle right shoulder, broken skull, broken rib cage structure

Thinking of taking an ADT vacation
Hi, just got my latest PSA result yesterday...it was 0.07 ug/l down from 0.14 ug/l one month ago. I'm almost at the 6 month mark of my ADT journey. Six months ago, my PSA was 14.9 ug/l. I'm thinking of taking a break from the ADT because of the side effects. Is it too risky? Would the PSA start

Heart rate monitor results - another update
We had our second private consultation today for mum. Mum had the Zio XT monitor for a week. She has permanent AF and HF and the past couple of months have been so difficult as mum hasn’t felt good pretty much every day. The consultant said mum’s average heart rate is around 80 bpm, but the monitor

Posting on behalf of 65_women has anyone had an operation for their elbow with rheumatoid arthritis. Did it help or not?

Life Insurance
Hi, I have been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. I'm 54 (f) and live with my 25 year old son (divorced). I've just realised I don't have life insurance (I know!), and wanted to ask if anyone has experience of decent companies who won't rip me off. I'm worried sick about leaving my son with extra

I had a biopsy at the end of the trial( sep) and it was showing roughly the same but just had 6 month appt with my liver consultant and she said...my bloods are about back to

Cramps
I have been having a few problems with my hands lately, stiffness etc which my GP originally put down to old age and arthritis, but just lately I have been getting cramp in my left hand which can be painful, do you think this could be due to arthritis or possibly something else?

Dr. Bianco: video from Thyroid Foundation of Canada
from 9 months ago. Somehow it ended up in my youtube feed this morning. He makes the point that L-thyroxine doesn't always manage to result in good fT3 levels and patients need Liothyronine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGlYO_H4Gdc&t=2682s

Confused and getting worse... Update
Hi I visited my GP today. I got a letter about my last visit and some results but I need to see my consultant for the rest. Most look OK to me just a couple outside of normal. The letter just confirmed that I have a strong family history of Rheumatoid arthritis and I exhibit organ specific autoimmune
