I have what seems like laryngitis for 4 weeks now. I'm struggling to talk for long. I'm seeing my ENT doctor Thursday for my ears and hope he will help with my throat (probably won't because it's ear clinic). Just wanted to say I haven't had any sort of virus before this
I'm just wondering if aps can affect the throat. I know lupus does but I haven't got that and aps and lupus seem to share a lot of the same problems

APS and Thyroid are linked and if you have issues with your thyroid you can have hoarse voice or feelings that are uncomfortable like swallowing. I’d let the Ent do what he has to with your ears and if he’s any good should notice your voice and ask about it, if not you should tell him and see what he says. He may not have the suitable equipment to exam your throat so be prepared to take it further.
Hi, yes a good idea to check out neck re Thyroid, Thyroid problems can give you a voice change, to more husky, and if you have anything like a goiter that can also impact you. I hope you find out. There are some viruses circulating that seem to take a long time to clear up, so that might be a factor also. MaryF
if all medical checks negative , YES APS autoimmune , causes dry sensitive membranes , in my case , vagina, throat, eyes , nose . Manage ALL the symptoms , to avoid infections . Don’t exercise on those days or sing , . Keep throat lubricated , COOL DRINKS ice , natural anti inflammatories . Ice pack on glands . 👍
