Anyone else think breastfeeding may trigger pp?
My last midwife said that the part of the brain that has
psychosis
also is the part that produces milk, I think it might be overstimulated but I can't find any research.

How can I help my friend
My friend had just been diagnosed with postpartum
psychosis
. Baby is 7 days old and it all started almost straight away. So she's not been home yet. I had pretty bad postnatal depression with my son but obviously this is worse. Any this on what I can do, how I can help.

Desperate to feel normal again
Hi everyone. I suffered from PP November 2014 with the birth of my daughter. I spent 10 days in a separate facility while my hubby and in-laws looked after the baby. After this the baby and I were moved to the mother and baby unit and we stayed there for about four weeks. I am now back at work full-time

Pregnant Again!!
Hey everyone, I haven't been around in maybe...a year and a half or more. I have had a lot happen to me; my medications have been switched around like crazy, I came off all of them but one, and I dove into alcoholism and benzo addiction. I have been clean for over 70 days now! I feel like ever since

Question for the Dads, what was the scariest part for you?
Trying to understand what my awesome husband went through with my two episodes of PP in 2009 and 2013. In your experience, what were the scariest bits of watching/supporting your partner through PP?

How to Support
We've heard that people typically remember everything once the
psychosis
ends. We've been asked to point out delusions or tell her when thinks are not real.

I was diagnosed with PP at the end of June, when my baby girl was 10 weeks old and I started thinking she was special etc, was in hospital for 5 days, and have been at home since, taking olanzapine and since early Sep

Anyone who has antidepressant and antipsychotic while on pregnancy
I then developed postpartum
psychosis
although I didn't have any mental disorder before and no family history of mental disorder. I saw a consultant last week. She said I was in high risk of developing postpartum
psychosis
and I'd have 2/3 chance of becoming ill again.

God help me.
In between all this, I tried to kill myself, not because I was depressed, but because it seemed logical in my
psychosis
, train track, electricity, dads car, we're all ways that I did it.

I haven't posted that often on the forum as my PP was 27 years ago, but I often read some of the conversations and find it so encouraging seeing the meaningful support that is being given to women & their families who are going through/have gone through the experience of Postpartum
Psychosis
.

Help- on T3 but want to raise my Levothyroxine?
I've had a lot of problems raising levo in the past and have to do it very slowly because of it triggering
psychosis
. Ideally I would like to raise my levo because I need more stability in the bank. Safety really. But taking T3 too is confusing me. ( not physically!!) How do I do this?

Depression & Psychosis
Hi, I've read that people who have had extreme cases of depression can get
psychosis
. Has anyone on here had this? What were your personal symptoms?

Hospital notes
I have been sectioned in the same awful psychiatric ward twice (once with PPP after the birth of my son, and once with
psychosis
brought on by lack of sleep 2 years later when I was under a lot of stress at work) and both times were very traumatic as I'm sure lots of people here can relate to.

A hello and a question about c-section
Hi everyone, I am so grateful there is a community for people to share experiences on PP and support one another. My wife had an episode of PP following the birth of our son 2,5 years ago. She was hospitalized for 3 weeks and given shots for another 6 months. Everything went back to normal. Now that
