Mothers on Edge, have you heard?
It’s going to be documenting mother’s with postpartum mental health issues including postpartum
psychosis
. I’m looking forward to watching it and hoping it does justice to the subject and brings some positive attention to something I still believe isn’t spoken about enough.

PP Veteran
The
psychosis
was just as immense as the first time but being together with DS and having regular visits with DD and family the recovery was much smoother x Only meant to keep this short 🤦♀️ I’m well now and would hope I can be a support to anyone early on their PP journey or long in the tooth like

2 years on and I can't move on.
I had a very bizarre experience, ICU
psychosis
etc, Hallucinations that I am still not convinced were actually so. Convinced I was being treated very badly etc. Have thought about little else since. I have up to eight - half a second flash backs every day and I feel like I am in 'The Matrix!'

Pregnant again after pp
Hi everyone My daughter had pp almost 2 years ago after the birth of her first child. She has now made a full recovery and been off medication for 6 months. She is now pregnant it’s early days just 6 weeks into her pregnancy. I’m terrified it will all happen again plus she has a toddler too. Does

Triggers from the past
So years later just seeing this little angel triggered the reminder of the fears and
psychosis
I suffered . I mention this really to say how vulnerable our brains and minds are and we can’t expect others to understand how overwhelming Ppp is.

Need health anxiety reassurance :(
I keep getting terrified of
psychosis
and schizophrenia to the point where I am afraid I’ll start to hear voices or see things. My psychotherapist keeps assuring me I’m fine, a friend of mine who is a psychotherapist said I don’t have either, and two psychiatrists said I’m showing no signs.

Need reassurance/health anxiety
I have literally thought I’ve had everything from MS (got an MRI and I don’t), to seizures (doc checked me out and said I don’t... did an EEG and MRI and neurological exams), to AIDS (got a blood test), to beriberi (I was b1 deficient), to schizophrenia (two doctors said I’m fine), to

Does anyone know how many women are diagnosed with bi polar disorder following an episode of pp?
Hi I am new here. I suffered pp 10 years ago following the birth of my son and due to excellent treatment and planning it did not reoccur after having my daughter who is now 3. I suffer from depression intermittently and am curious of my question above. Thanks in advance x

Evidence of the need for patient investigation Part 1 of 2
This is thought to be caused by an overproduction of postsynaptic dopamine receptors in compensation for the drug’s blockade of the overactive presynaptic receptors, the explanation posited for the original

Health anxiety / hypochondria / Zoloft update
My fear of developing or having schizophrenia or
psychosis
is still there, but I’m doing everything I can to squash this last bit of health anxiety. Two psychiatrists, and two psychotherapists said I’m fine. I don’t even fit many of the symptoms but, hypochondria generally wins!

Am I going blind or hallucinating?
I fear that it’s hallucinations cause I once read an article about a guy who before he went into
psychosis
he thought he saw stuff fall out of the corner of his eye at his job but nothing had actually fallen. My therapist tells me that it’s most likely my anxiety and floaters.

Scleroderma, Cushing's, Ankylosing Spondilytis
I'd presumed this was steroid withdrawal/
psychosis
plus asthma as a result of steroids being stopped at once 2 weeks ago. After talking to A&E consultant, he didn't agree with steroid withdrawal symptoms. He let me go home after I promised to 999 myself if the symptoms came back.

Everything seems strange and unreal. Am i about to lose it??
I know that people who experience
psychosis
don't notice it, but reality seems so strange and i read on a forum where a guy explained his first
psychosis
was feeling just like that. I am currently seeing a psychologist, but she went on a trip for a month.
