I am trying to collect information from men in a specific category. That category is men who have had a radical prostatectomy (RP) and thereafter experienced biochemical recurrence (BCR) and used proton beam therapy (PBT) radiation as the treatment following that BCR.
I’d like to know several things. These are the questions for which I’m seeking information. If any of my questions are considered private, please feel free to private message me? I do not wish to debate the pros or cons concerning PBT. I have already evaluated these opinions and chosen PBT for my own BCR treatment at the Roberts PB facilities at UPenn in Philadelphia.
1- Where and when did you go for the PBT that you received?
2- Who was your radiology oncologist (RO) at the PBT facility?
3- What was your PSA at the time of your PBT?
4- Did you have hormone therapy (HT) prior to PBT or after PBT was completed?
5- If you had HT, what drugs did you use and for what duration?
6- How did you find the PBT facility and your RO who treated you?
7- Did you experience any toxic side effects during or following your PBT?
8- Did you have a PSMA PET CT scan prior to receiving your PBT or after?
9- What was the follow-up protocol for you following your PBT?
10- How are you faring following your PBT? Any further BCR?
I look forward to hearing from as many of you who have time to write? Be well.
