Demand pelvic floor therapy following prostate surgery
If you have a
prostatectomy
because your cancer is progressing too rapidly, make sure that your surgery is followed with pelvic floor therapy to prevent pelvic floor prolapse.

Orgovyx question
Had radical
prostatectomy
in Feb. 2018 EBRT in March 2019. Axumin scan showed spot on hip in August 2020. Had radiation on it. Axumin scan in August 2021 showed 3 new spots. Doc put me on Orgovyx 4 days ago. Have been having heart palpitations since then.

What post-prostatectomy PSA level is considered "undetectable?"
As many have noted, Labcorp has recently changed their lower limit of detection from .014 back to .006. While my last few results were <.014, I decided to get a test for my 10-year post-op anniversary and my reading came back as .008. No "<" since .008 is obviously higher than .006. Many studies I've

Testosterone and PSA drop and sore nipples
Prostatectomy
Gleason 8, Lupron, and pelvic radiation. I am now off of Lupron and testosterone went up to 341 with a PSA of 0.014. Three months later the PSA rose to 0.025. I developed nipple soreness and started on tamoxifen.

1st post - ramblings for future treatment decisions & so much research info to digest
Discussion with doctors at Mayo & my bride led to decision of robotic assisted radical
prostatectomy
with nerve sparing in 8/18. Pathology revealed no breach of the prostate wall with nothing in 19 lymph nodes. Fast forward & in 18 months PSADT arrived.

Post RP Questions...
I had a robotic assisted radical
prostatectomy
3 weeks ago. No urinary control issues since the catheter was removed and ED doesn't seem like it's going to be an issue at this point either.

When does rising PSA require further treatment.
2010 robotic
prostatectomy
at City of Hope, 2018 IMRT 3 months ADT at Johns Hopkins. Last 6 PSA tests at 6 month intervals: .03, .04, .04, .05, .02 and last .05. If PSA continues to rise, when is further treatment recommended?

Ipatasertib+abiraterone effective in men with PTEN-loss
PTEN deletion is common even early (18% of
prostatectomy
samples). Without PTEN, the cancer cell signals proliferation with a chemical called AKT. Ipatasertib inhibits AKT.

How do I choose between Cyberknife (SBRT) monotherapy vs HDR Brachytherapy+EBRT?
After all my case has a rather high recurrence rate after Radical
Prostatectomy
according to nonograms, however if lymph nodes are radiated, doesn't that lower the risk dramatically? And how can Cyberknife compared in efficacy when it radiates only the prostate?

Low testosterone & lymphnodal invasion.
Late in the last century, Patrick Walsh at Johns Hopkins discovered that a year after
prostatectomy
, T levels had increased. The conclusion being that cancer in the prostate was able to influence T production. [2] This study was reproduced in Australia & somewhere else.

Bioquimical recurrence after PRP, rescue radiation and now?
Prostatectomy
(Da Vinci) in february 2017. Recurrence in December 2019 (psa:0.21 ng/ml). PET/PSMA show the prostate bed and one lymph node were illuminated. 28 session of radiation was given (august 2020) to the prostate area (61 Gy) and the dose increased (63 Gy) to the PSMA uptake area.

Had a radical
prostatectomy
in March and while initial scans have shown no spread of the cancer, the tumor had broken through the capsule wall. PSA prior to surgery was only around 4.1 and post surgery so far it is undetectable (end of May).
