Orgovyx question

Am new here- Diagnosed with prostate cancer in Jan. 2018. Had radical prostatectomy in Feb. 2018 EBRT in March 2019. Axumin scan showed spot on hip in August 2020. Had radiation on it. Axumin scan in August 2021 showed 3 new spots. Doc put me on Orgovyx 4 days ago. Have been having heart palpitations since then. Did not take a pill today to see if palps get better. PSA was at 7 about a month ago. Anyone with similar problems with Orgovyx ? Should I be on a more aggressive treatment ? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks !

Have you not been on any form of injectable ADT prior to starting Orgovix? After the radiation? Did any prior ADT regimen work for some time and then fail with rising PSA? Why switch to Orgovix? You should have been on ADT combined with an advanced androgen receptor drug such as abiraterone or enzalutamide in recent years. And perhaps also a course of chemo such as docetaxel? Is there more to your story? Report the palpitations to your doctor promptly and get an EKG and blood work to see what is going on. Orgovix must be taken daily in order to work.

I started Orgovyx at the end of March 2021. I took the initial loading dose (triple dose) as directed. I did develop an irregular heartbeat as well as a slow heartbeat (bradycardia). By the third day my MO suggested stopping for three days and then restart with the normal once-per-day dose. I have been fine since then. MO & cardiologist both tell me that the initial loading dose is what created heart rhythm problems for me (NOTE: I have had diagnosed electrical dysfunction of my heart detected before, anyway, so am probably more prone to such issues.) I am now in my fifth month of Orgovyx and have had no recurrence at all of heart issues.

From the Orgovyx website:

Tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you:

Have any heart problems, including a condition called long QT syndrome.

I saw a Cardiologist before starting Orgovyx to make sure I didn't have any cardiac issues.

I have taken the drug since April 2021 without any cardiac issues.

Orgovyx quickly lowered my testosterone and PSA. Side effects include loss of libio, hot flushes and joint pain (may be old age) and some feeling of tiredness if I don't keep moving.

Been on Orgovyx since Feb. Same side effects I had with Firmagon...but the side effects are due to low T not the drugs themselves. Hot flashes mostly...no palpitations.
