Diagnostic Imaging Not Yet Enough for Biopsy-Free Radical Prostatectomy - MedPage Today, November 27, 2023
Biopsy-free PCa diagnostics would be welcomed by anyone who has had one or more needle biopsies. This article in MedPage Today summarizes the current status for the several methodologies being studied as alternatives. Good info for those currently on AS or just watching a rising PSA. Modified release vs. Sustained release
Good evening everyone :) Following on from my post a couple of days ago, I managed to get my hands on my original brand of medication, Vera-Til SR. However, I have noticed that this one does not say modified release on it and is a different colour to the one I originally take. This is probably a

SIB/Flame Protocol
The RO recommends Simultaneous Integrated Boost (SIB) as part of my treatment. PSA was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial PSA). He is concerned that the PSA does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as PSA has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis

Your thoughts on next course of action
First, I'd like to thank the many good folks that contribute this forum. Your inputs have been a life send to me over the past several years, especially Tall Allen who recommended UW Medicine where my MO and RO are located. They have been fantastic to work with. The short story - Diagnosed in 2018.

PLUVICTO
I finished 6 treatments of Pluvicto in May 2023 with negligible PSA readings. In August of 23 my PSA jumped to 2.3, my September 14 PSA is 16.8. It seems like Pluvicto is losing it's grip. I have an appointment with my oncologist on September 25. I am sure he will order a PSMA scan. I am curious as to

Can a colonoscopy after RP with BCR increase PSADT and speed up PC growth?
6 years out from RP - current PSA = 0.39, PSADT = 16 months....only therapy has been RP...nothing shown on PSMA PET/CT done at 0.35.

How long has Olaparib worked for you?
I've been on Olaparib for 20 months and my PSA has dropped from 10 to 1.5. It has started to rise again and is now 4.2. I'm BRCA2 mutation. I'm wondering how long Olaparib has worked for other people. Thanks.

should I stop Zytiga early?
hello, i’m new here and encouraged by all the experience and caring nature of the conversations. Would love if anyone has wisdom around a decision to stop Zytiga early? I am 56 and was diagnosed 2/21 with Gleason 9 no lymph nodes invasion, but some vesicle invasion and perhaps a little outside margins

PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I don’t see Dr Dorff until next week, but had labs drawn today. I’m prepping any questions I might have for the appointment. My PSA has more than doubled in 3 months from 0.014 to 0.039. Testosterone at time of both tests was <7. At these low levels, is that doubling in 3 months a concern? I’m

PSMA scan result
I have been diagnosed with mCSPC in May 2023 and been on Lupron for 3 months and Zytiga/ Pre since last 2 months. My PSA was initially 21.5 and as of last week is down to 0.3. I had my PSMA scan done again today and was hoping that some lesions in regional and distant Lymph nodes would be gone but
