Bleeding 2 weeks after first Prostap injection

Hi everyone so I currently have suspected but undiagnosed endometriosis. Dr started me on Prostap 2 weeks ago. I had been bleeding daily up until then (not a lot but noticable when I wipe) and have had lower left side pelvic pain for more than 2 years now and also have the mirena coil fitted. This morning I woke to find myself saturated with a very heavy bleed which I havent had since having the coil fitted in January 2021. Has anyone else experienced this whilst having Prostap injections? I am due my 2nd injection 12 weeks after my first one.

I am on the prostap injection have been for nearly 6 months now - i get mine every 4 weeks.

I spoke with a nurse after my second injection as i had small amount of bleeding close to when i was due my next injection - she said this is normally normal and to keep an eye on things - i bleed now when im due my next injection and get the left side pain too.

It might be best if you can to speak to your GP or nurse as every person is different so your body might be just getting used to the prostap!

I hope it works well for you, because i finally feel normal again through these injections ❤️

Hi there I am similar to you in that I have prostap 12 weekly and a Mirena coil, I have a HRT patch also. When I had my mirena fitted I experienced discomfort and bleeding for 5-6 months and then one day I woke up and it had completely gone. It’s worth sticking it out if you can.
