advice re knee pain.
hi, I’m a 58yr old, who suffers from an inflammatory arthritis, called ankylosing spondylitis, and mainly affects the spine but also peripheral joints. 10 weeks ago, I was on holiday in Devon, and suddenly noticed my left knee was buckling. A week later it gave way in the shower and I fell and gashed

Hi, I'm 68 years old. Here are the key points in my story so far: In July 2023 a blood test showed a PSA value of 45. On September 26 2023, prostate MRI showed a dominant tumor in the prostate with extension into the right seminal vesicle. Also the fat plane between the rectum and prostate is lost

Hi, I have just had the results of my blood test and they are all within the normal range which is obviously great news but not so great as to knowing why I’m feeling so tired, aching, gut issues and cramping, brain fog. Could any of you lovely people just take a look and see why I maybe feeling like

Hypo Dr lowered dose!
Hi everyone, My Dr. lowered my prescription from 150mcg to 125mcg on the basis of a TSH result of 0.01. Test done as advised on here. No T4 or T3 was done. No discussion about symptoms . In fact it was done without any discussion. I’ve had to wait a month to have an appointment with my Dr. Was not

I asked my doctors surgery if I could have my smear test a month before it was due as I was going to start my second round of ivf. I was told no & that I had to wait for my letter & that there was a bit of a back log so I may need to wait. I finally received my letter today which is the first day of

Long protocol side effects
Hi all, about to start on 4th ICSI round, new clinic. I did get quite a lot of side effects on short protocol with menopur, manageable but difficult due to underlying health issues and demanding job. I am going to be down regged with buserelin, then stimmed with Meriofert and gonal f. What side effects

Menopur & fostimon
Hello ☺️ I’m on day 13 of Buserelin injections and have my baseline scan tomorrow. Hopefully it’s ok and I can start stimming. I will discuss again tomorrow with the clinic but initially they were saying I need to inject fostimon and menopur separately . I used to mix…which I’d prefer do as it’s less

Flare on the way ?
I'm on a slow taper of 0.5mg every 8 weeks which has been going well. I reduced to 3mg from 3.5 2 weeks ago and things have not felt quite right . I have had some pain at the base of my spine, not all the time and in some of my fingers and my wrists too . Over the last few days my shoulders have started

I’m back again …5th cycle 🤞
It feels very daunting , been over a year. Not planned to wait this long but had so many set backs. I had my laporoscopy surgery in June (after been cancelled 3 times ) , recovery and then a week before I was meant to start next cycle , I caught covid. I had an appointment last week with miscarriage

Post-Miscarriage Tests?
Hey all, following ‘unexplained infertility’ and now FET I am 6 weeks pregnant. As per 3 times in the past at this stage (with natural pregnancies) I’m getting slight cramps and kind of pre-empting a miscarriage. Three times before I’ve got to 9 weeks and then miscarried but the pregnancy looked more

C-reactive protein
Greetings from northern Canada! I was diagnosed with RA 6 months ago and my CRP was in the 100s. It has gone up and down since then. It was 1.7 last month and I was told I'm in remission. Now it's up to 27.5 again. Does anyone have any experience with this? The inflammation is obviously still in my body

Test result help please
Hi Forum, I'm looking for some advice please? I have been to the drs many times over the years to have my thyroid tested as I struggle with fatigue, depression, weight gain, brain fog. My bloods have always come back 'normal' and I've never questioned them... I trust the system. However, my family have

thickness of lining
hi all, I was wondering if someone can reassure me. I am due to have FET next week and I’ve had a scan today and my lining was 15.5 mm thick. I didn’t think much of it at first and after “googling” it I read a thick lining is going to be less successful for transfer. Obviously I’m worried and I did

5dp5dt BFN after positives
I am currently 5dp5dt and feeling deflated. Second transfer, first fresh failed in September and this our first FET. I’m not sure if the positives at 3dp5dt and 4dp5dt were trigger or whether it was implantation that has not failed. Very faint lines at 5dp5dt but seem lighter than days before. I

FET and pregnancy testing
I am 8dp5dt with my OTD on Friday. I have in and tested this morning with a test I had and it came back positive. This was a FET. I don’t want to get my hopes up as this is cycle number 3, however could oestrogen or progesterone cause a false positive? I am on 8mg Progynova, 2 cyclogest and 2 lubion

6DP5DT & Scared
New here & first post but Google keeps popping the page up as I'm frantically searching. This is my 7th round of IVF, my third with DE, you'd think I'd be used to this 2ww but I'm sure it's getting worse. I'm 6dp5dt with 2 tested embryos and don't feel a thing. I did have a few twinges & sore boobs,

Faint line
I’m day 9 post frozen embryo transfer. I couldn’t help myself and have tested since day 6. Each test has shown a very faint line. Has anyone any experience of it staying faint? Am I just being impatient and it will go darker over the coming days or is it something else?

End of the Journey
Today my lovely daughter had her 5th & final embryo transfer. It was different from the previous 4 in that she has changed clinics, opted for a frozen 5 day transfer and genetic testing. One last throw of the dice....her choice. She is doing this alone and has been so strong throughout. She has decided
