Probiotics? Are they helpful? BioKult? Dr. Mischley says no probiotics but not why?
Since it has been made clear that the gut microbiome plays a role in PD, I am seeking to better understand how
probiotics
factor in to this. I take BioKult. In her most recent talk, Dr. Mischley expressed that she is opposed to
probiotics
but she did not elaborate. Does anyone know?

Help for my lovely mum
Hi everyone. I’m looking for some help on behalf of my lovely mum (Janey1234 on this forum). Last year she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, which we found out a few weeks ago has spread beyond her pelvic region, so she is due to start chemotherapy tomorrow. She’s just had her latest blood test

What advice do you have for someone starting Cyclogest progesterone pessaries?
Has my egg collection yesterday and was instructed to start Cyclogest today. I've heard many horror stories about them and mainly the mess and risk of getting vaginal thrush. I'm worried because I am quite sensitive down there and get thrush pretty easily if I'm not careful with soaps and detergents

Pain remedy pack - does yours look like this?
Hi my lovely pen pals! You know what? Our section here for Q&A often reads like purgatory. Lots of us land in when we're at our lowest. But, things can get better. So, I wanted to share what's in my "pain remedy pack" because.... Drum roll, I went for a walk at normal speed and didn't have to slow or

B12 and shoulder pain
Back to the shoulder so I have been looking up b12 deficiency I can tick a few of the symptoms on the NHS website (except the weight loss) My doctor’s advice was to stop paying out so much money for my VitD,
probiotics
, iron and zinc and to save my money and go on holiday.

My story of illness and ‘recovery’
I want to share this to fellow readers, so that we can see there is hope but get a grasp on the reality of what recovery might be. My story starts in my mid 20’s when I was diagnosed with IBS. I managed the condition for years, until my early 30’s. I befell infection after infection after infection for

Hashimoto’s and antivio
I’m also taking
probiotics
to help my gut get back to normal. Although it sounds like a Hashi’s Flare up, apart from the test results, I’m wondering if it’s just a reaction to the antibiotics.

??IBS
Hi there. New to this forum. I have been struggling with abdominal pain for last few months. It’s not constant but get a flare up every now and then. The pain is in a strange place above my belly button. I get pain sometimes sharp and achey, and it feels bloated. I’ve been back and forward to the GP.
