I recently followed up with a new Doc after my last one back in February of 2020 left me with questions, only telling me I was "Steps from cirrhosis". Unfortunately

What are Tocilizumab and Sarilumab treatments for COVID?
The REMPA-CPAP Clinical trial results show that the drugs reduced the risk of death by 24% for critically ill patients and reduced the time spent in intensive care by up to 10 days. In light of these results, the UK government has said that supplies of tocilizumab are already available in hospitals

*IMPORTANT* ALL COVID-19 Vaccines are thought to be safe for CLL Patients- they are NOT live vaccines and cannot cause illness
There has been much concern following the statement by Prof Salisbury on BBC24 stating that the Oxford vaccine is a live vaccine and that it may not be suitable for patients with low immunity because it contains a live virus. To be clear - NONE of the three COVID vaccines licensed in the UK are considered

Vaccine Candidates of Interest--- pTVG-HP DNA Vaccine and pTVG-AR DNA vaccine-- Brothers with Different Targets
The vaccines continue with pTVG-HP DNA Vaccine. This vaccine is currently in a Phase 2 clinical trial with Keytruda and comes from the University of Wisconsin, which seems quite involved in vaccine trials. This is a cancer vaccine containing plasmid DNA encoding human prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP

Clinical Trials of Monoclonal antibodies AZD7442 against SARS=CoV-2 (COVID19) - majority of sites in UK and USA
There are two clinical trials of monoclonal antibodies that target covid19. AstraZeneca is developing mAbs to the SARS-CoV-2 S protein. The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein contains the virus's RBD, which enables the virus to bind to receptors on human cells. By targeting this region of the virus's spike protein

Past, Present, and Future of Immunotherapies for Prostate Cancer.
I thought we should start with a discussion of this article, and then the individual vaccines. I will later post on the vaccines which I am interested in and their potential and current trial opportunities. PLEASE READ THE POST FIRST BEFORE READING THE INITIAL ARTICLE BELOW: https://www.frontiersin.org
