Sinus Rhythm with Various other Arrhythmias
Since having my first Afib episode in over a year after an ablation in March, 2022, I've had a very few additional Afib episodes. Stopping amiodarone - experiences?
What are folks' experiences stopping amiodarone after a long time on it? Having been on amiodarone for 5 years after OHS post-op AF in 2018 (and an AF history back to 1995, ablated in 2002) I have finally managed to get off it, now for over 3 months. I tried 4 times before and never got past 3 weeks

Constant PVCs
Hi, I've had PVCs for 10 years, and take daily Flecainide and Verapamil. All was fine until a month ago when I was in Hospital with Periorbital Cellulitis, following weeks with a virus, which was painful and stressful. While on Hospital , my PVCs got much worse, and have carried on that way since (that

Af vs Ectopic beats
Hi all, This may sound a like a silly question but is it easy to differentiate between AF and PVCs? I’ve had PVCs for several years which sometimes occur only a few times a day and occasionally can be 1000s a day. I’ve recently been diagnosed with PAF but do not experience a racing heart rate and

Premature birth linked to hypothyroidism in later life
I'm sure this is probably well known on here but I have just googled to see if there is a linked between UAT and being born prematurely... Well, what do you know! https://www.nature.com/articles/nrendo.2011.61 Lots of articles but this was of particular interest to me as I was born at 29weeks and 6days

A fun experience.
I had the thought that I might want to do weight training again. Not a no pain no gain fool. Do like the burn to a degree. I also understand some muscles will never feel the burn. So I took a 2.5" just over 6" pvc pipe I had and found that to be a good size for my hands. Did the calculations which

Myopericarditis - palpitations
I should start by saying I will be going back to a consultant however mentally I am struggling. After two back to back viruses resulting in myocarditis, pericarditis, and and a pericardial effusion, I am about 3 months and suffer daily with palpitations and an arrythmia. A 7 day holter showed what

Loop recorder
Next week I am being fitted with a loop recorder. I'm really nervous and wondering if is painful and if it causes PVCs or PACs? Does anyone have zny experience or any advice?

chest twinges, pain in neck
Today I have been experiencing twinges in my chest just above my left breast with slight discomfort going across the breast, along with a dull aching feeling near the pulse in left side of my neck. I have PVCs on and off, 13 percent burden and also mildly dilated left atrium. Currently Taking 120 mg

LBBB, but my heart has zero damage or issues according to tests.
Hello, I was diagnosed with a LBBB about 5 or 6 years ago. At the time I was a heavy alcoholic and user of stimulant based narcotics (clean and sober ever since). My cardiologist did a myriad of tests including an MRI, Echo, etc. He said everything looked normal. My LBBB would come and go randomly

Treating PVCS on a virtual ward
I have posted on here a number of times about the burden of persistent PVCs. Anyway, after 5 days of feeling very dizzy and nauseous, I went to see my GP. She sent me straight to my local hospital which is a big teaching hospital. I was seen in the Same Day Emergency Medicine unit who were thorough and
