PVC study
Just found this study on possible non-invasive treatment for PVCs. Study results do not seem to have been published yet, maybe its still in progress. I'm very interested to know the results. I notice that I often experience ectopics after drinking hot tea within minutes of ingesting. Considering the

BRONCHIECTASIS….PLUS Allergic to medical face mask…any non polypropylene/TPE ones available?
Hi I’m having a nightmare with my bronchiectasis, I’ve had numerous exacerbations this year, use my rescue pack and prednisone when needed…cant remember being well in all honesty. I had HIB in April and given Levofloxacin as Doxycycline won’t shift my HIB. Think I had HIB in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2023

Ectopics - should I be worried ??
Hi, I had an ablation Nov 2020 which cured my persistent AFib. Was in 100% sinus rhythm until June 2022 when I caught Covid, and had a long run of Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC's). Spells of arrythmia have continued, 2 out of 3 days my Kardia reports SVE's (Ventricular Ectopics), otherwise

Anyone find PVCs are accompanied by a feeling of mucus in your throat?
I had constant PVCs 24/7 for 6-8 months two years ago. At the time I mentioned to my GP and cardiologist that I felt like I had mucus in the left side of my throat, like post-nasal drip, but they both ignored that and didn't give me any kind of explanation. After starting on HRT (I am in perimenopause

Hello. This is my first time posting here. I will share a little about myself and skipped best history.I have been having them off and on since my 30's, I am now 66. 1 week post ablation
Hi! I was diagnosed with AFib several years ago as well as atrial flutter, and PVCs . I have been on a number of meds and most recently took Flecainide 50 mg 2xday, metoprolol 12.5mg 1xday and Eliquis 2xday. I had an ablation gone 8 days ago and my EP said I could immediately drop my Flecainide

Rapid heart rate
Hi Last night all of a sudden my pulse went up to around 100 beats and was feeling my wrist was like 5 fast beats then would stop for a while then start going fast again. I felt a little sweaty as well. I get the occasional PVA PVC but never to fast heart rate. After a while like 15 mins or so it

Very happy to hit 2 year mark from last AFIB incident. I was 48 when I had my first episode which terrified me, and the second episode was 9 months later. Both resolved on their own. I started working on lifestyle changes from the first incident. I focused on dropping milk from my diet and keeping

Covid during pregnancy
I’m trying to relax about this but I googled online before calling midwife and read that it can cause

an all other stuff and can’t help but worry. After having the best week of my life I now feel I’m in a nightmare.

premature ventricular contraction
hello all, spent a night at A&E to have a 12 year old doctor tell me these are nothing to worry about although it went on for several minutes 3 separate times yesterday and knocked me off my feet 🤷🏻♀️ Apparently unless I actually black out twice I can’t be referred on to anyone and when I why this

Fallen off my little pink cloud
we’ll, after a year post my last ablation, having had very little in the way of AF, it is back with avengance unfortunately. Started Thursday with increased PVCs and SVEs which developed into AF and then tachycardia/flutter at 140 bpm. I rang arrhythmia nurse who said to increase my sotalol and monitor

Hi all! I hope someone can help. After years of telling my doctors that I have regular PVCs, sometimes constantly all day for literally weeks, and they all just told me that wasn't happening, I finally saw a cardiologist who says I have idiopathic RVOT and advised me to get a Kardia 6L. (Which is

Ablation for all types of AF?
I was reading a recent post - To 'ablate or not to ablate' by Tamgirl. Most responses were yes to ablation. I ask this question of everybody on each side of the fence. Do you know what type of AF you have? Your type of AF may have had a bearing on your decision to ablate or hold of on ablation. Vagal

Stopping flecainide advice needed
I suffer with SVT and idiopathic VT, for which I take 50mg flecainide x1 a day and I also take 10mg propranolol at least x2 a day. I went for an EP study and ablation last year in October but unfortunately the ablation was not possible, due to not being able to set off any SVT or VT episodes. I stopped

Not recurred in almost 5 years
I got regular bursts of self-resolving Afib since the age of 19, ten minutes here and there. During this time I was chronically low carb dieting and overexercising. My longest episode was in 2019, at age 29, where I woke up in it. Went to A&E and it self resolved about 10 hours later. Had PACs/PVCs since

travel insurance
Hi All, Had an OHS to have an AVR in January. Recovery is going well, albeit a few PVC now and then. Planning on travelling to India in December with my wife and 2 children. I need some advice on travel insurance regarding sort of cover I will need and insurance providers that do such covers etc.

Frequent palpitations making me feel rough
I had a successful ablation for AF in October but I'm still suffering considerably with PVCs. My EP has said that they are okay but they are making me feel ill. Sometimes it is every other beat, sometimes one in seven. I hadn't had many for 4 weeks but over the last 4 days I've had several episodes lasting

Ectopic Beats
I have had ectopic beats for some years but it was always infrequently. I recently started getting them more often and had a 24 hour holter monitor. I was told there were isolated PAC and PVCs totalling 50 in 24 hour period. They are now happening much more frequently I would say every 2/3 minutes
