Reducing prednisone to zero
My question is, if I am feeling okay can I just keep reducing my
prednisone
every three / four weeks? I don’t want to have any adrenal issues.

Bitter Taste In Mouth
I have had a persistent bitter taste in my mouth since the end of December and the only respite that I get from it is either when I am sleeping, eating or drinking! It’s so bad that it is making me feel quite unwell! I am doing everything that has been advised eg drinking lots of water, brushing teeth

Aching joints after stopping prednisolone
Hi could I ask if it is normal to suffer aching joints & muscles after stopping prednisolone? In mid Nov I managed finally to taper off prednisolone after 3 yrs treatment for PMR. I felt ok and very pleased with myself. I then caught covid ( badly) in early Dec which left me fatigued. I went off to

Biologics
Hi - following on from my previous posts, has anyone been rejected for biologics due to their inhaled steroid dose being high? I have Seretide 250mcg x2 puffs twice daily and pulmicort nebs 2mg twice daily. They’re saying the high doses of inhaled steroids are the cause of my infections, but I’m colonised

Anyone have a new perspective on prednisone “ok” dose?
I’ve been slowly reducing my
prednisone
over many months. From 5 mg. now to 2 mg for about 6 weeks. My diagnosis of lupus came in 2016. I’ve been living with a spine problem for many years. It wasn’t until 2016 though that I began
prednisone
at 3 mg with my hydroxy.

Med alert wording
I’m just starting a slow taper to 5.5mg prednisolone and aware my adrenals should be waking up but might not. I’m considering getting a medical alert bracelet but would appreciate advice on what wording I should have on it.

Question re side effects of Prednisone at different levels
I'm tapering slowly and at 14mg
Prednisone
now. A couple days ago I received blood work results which showed a marked increase of A1C, LDLs and Glucose. I'm a careful eater and I exercise. Therefore I believe this is the fault of the Pred.

The ever elusive implantation bleeding?? 👻😳🤔💭
Hi folks, looking for some advice please. Currently 5dp5dt and it was a FET. I’m on oestrogen patches and pills (4 a day), as well as 3 x progesterone pessaries a day, and prednisolone… so very well medicated! Well yesterday evening I had the faintest of light pink discharge and now this morning

Update - prednisone taper and Covid Booster
In the past few weeks, while finishing my DSNS taper from 5 to 4.5 mg, I've noticed some of the original PMR symptoms I had - painful neck and a pulsing in my head to the beat of my heart. When I went to a GP within a week of getting these symptoms back in January 2021, they ruled out having a tumour

Taper after 2 weeks of prednisolone?
Hello, just wondered if anyone know if I need to ask to taper down prednisolone after having 12 days of 30mg prednisolone? I did have a 2 day gap within this of no prednisolone. Am I right it’s only if you’ve had 14 days you need to taper? Thanks very much for any advice. Previously felt very grim after

Seronegative RA with OA in the Lumbar and Cervical Spine
I have a diagnosis of Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis with underlying Osteoarthritis in the lumbar and cervical spine. My question is one of exercise - The GP has made a referral to Physiotherapy - I'm expecting that this will take a while for an appointment to come through, in the meantime I'd love

Weakened hip flexor muscles
After moving to Scotland last year, I asked for referral to a Rheumatologist as I had been having pain in left hip on standing and walking. Was told they didn't deal with PMR left that to Drs. After an X ray of pelvis and hips I was told nothing wrong with hip joint, but my pelvis was tilted and lower
