Prednisolone problems
Hi everybody, Lately I had some breathing problems so on the nurse's advice I took a (low) dose of prednisolone.(10 mg for 6 days) The problem is that apparently (and it's not the first time) my shortness of breath is increasing; not considerably but noticeably; Now I don't know if it depends

I am done. I am also done tappering
I'm completely fed up with this disease! I can't reduce my prednisolone dosage below 10 mg, and I barely manage to maintain that level. Even methotrexate (MTX) doesn't fully address the problem, although it does provide some relief. My rheumatologist suggests that I most likely have no adrenal function

Going to start prednisolone steroids š³
Therefore, i am now going to try
prednisone
! Hopefully it will work for me then I will start the Adalimumab injections. Itās all very overwhelming and the side effects are scary but I just want to have peace of mind and more control. Any advice would be warmly welcomed.

Nintedanib
I've recently started to take nintedanib for my fibrosis which I have in both lungs, I've had hypersensitive pneumonitis for some years now (I'm 70) and also take prednisolone but I'm struggling with nausea and diarrhea and would like to know if this improves after a few weeks/months. The side effects

Confused about when to taper in relation to symptoms
I was impressed with the initial response to 15 mgm prednisolone which eased my symptoms within 3 days. The response was about 70% improvement in the pain in the arms/ shoulders (the right arm much better than the left) and 95% improvement in the thighs and buttocks. My GP encouraged a taper to 12.5

Prednisone quandary
Im looking for some advice please. I'm currently on 7mg or pred and have been for many years. However over the last week I've experienced difficulty in walking. It's feels like I'm walking in deep mud. I've learnt to tolerate this problem but last Thursday it was quite extreme. I came home from walking

Prednisolone - new member
my hubby never thought heād be joining our Pred āgangā, but a trip to A&E yesterday (7 hours!!) showed that heād either a bronchial reaction to the tamsulosin he was taking for his prostate, or heās got a viral infection. Heās been prescribed 30mg for 10 days, which the doctor said would sort out either

Prednisolone and surgery
Hi everyone, I've been reading all the recent posts about problems reducing prednisolone with interest. When I was diagnosed in September 2023 (non cranial GCA) I naively expected my steroid reducing timetable, given to me on discharge, would be exactly as it was on the sheet. I'm now down to 8mg per

Struggling to reduce, despite slow descent
Hi everyone, I will try to keep this brief but also hope I give sufficient information. I am feeling pretty despondent about where I am going though I know the steroids are valuable and my only option to make life manageable. I developed PMR symptoms in March/April 2022 and was given the diagnosis

Suffering with GCA
Welcome I hope you are fine I have not yet undergone a biopsy or any other examination, but I started taking prednisolone 60 mg and there was a change in the nature of the pain, it became somewhat controlled. Then I reduced the dose to 40 mg, and after a few days I had a relapse and the violent headache

Phased return
I really appreciate all the support I received from this group recently. Next week will be the last week before I meet with my boss and hr. I've accepted its time for a change and I'm trying not to fear that change. I am currently on 12 mg of prednisolone due to suspected GCA. I've recently been suffering
