not pmr again
As I posted, my GP suggested that I hold off taking
prednisone
over the weekend to see if the symptoms disappeared. And they did!

PMR pain or Adrenal issue
I just reduced my
prednisone
by a half mg a few days ago. My hips and knees are bothering me today. Could this be due my reduction of
prednisone
and my Adrenals stating to work? Should I go with it for a few days to see if it gets better or go back to my previous dose now?

Prednisone Taper
This is the second time that I have jumped up from 3mg to 8mg because of severe leg and knee pain, shoulder etc and a lot of fatigue. This was recommended and works beautifully. After two weeks I am suppose to drop back to 3mg but I feel so good, I don’t want to. What do my experts think? Thank

I have GCA and I have been tapering
prednisone
for 3 years. I am on my second attempt at tapering
prednisone
and just got to 4mg. Last year I actually got down to 3 mg but suffered a 4th and acute diverticulitis attack which was too much for my sputtering adrenals.

Pregnancy and steriods
I was discharged with a steroid pump and more oral
prednisone
. I have used
prednisone
as part of my ivf protocol albeit a lower dosage. I am a bit nervous to take this as I am worried about the impact on the baby. What are your thoughts? Anyone being in a similar position? Thank you!

If so, it seems the
prednisone
would have calmed this by now. Any thoughts are appreciated. This forum has been helpful to me. Thank you!

Giant Cell Arteritis
Started with 60 mg
Prednisone
and slowly decreased after 2 months added Actemra injections once a week. Now done with
Prednisone
and on Actemra only. I’m doing well thus far and wondering if anyone is doing well on Actemra only. Thank you, looking forward to hearing back from you.

Increasing Prednisone to 40 mg?
My GP has suggested that I increase my
prednisone
from 35 mg to 40 mg before my first rheumatologist appointment on May 16. Her suggestion was in response to pain in my right temple and scalp tingling. I don’t have a lot of faith in this GP as she is uncommunicative with no rapport.

Melanoma Surgery while taking Actemra and Prednisone
My question is: should I increase/decrease
prednisone
or Actemra for this? I’ll have two incisions for this, and wear machine that helps healing for a week? 🤨 I would be great full for your experiences and opinions

Anemia on Abiraterone + Prednisone + Lupron
Since November 2023 I have been taking Abiraterone + Prednosone for castrate resistant metastatic prostate cancer. In November my PSA was 0.8. In the first three months it went down to 0.26. Yesterday, my PSA was 0.16. But my hemoglobin and hematocrit became low at 11.6 and 36% respectively.

Cautious Optimism
It’s a far cry from starting out in massive PMR pain that initially left me essentially bed-ridden until discovering the wonders of 20mg + of
prednisone
! I’m now able to hike 5 or more miles many days over hilly terrain without pain.

Whoops! I made a boo-boo.
A week ago I visited the rheumatologist, who prescribed reducing
Prednisone
from 5mg to 4g daily and adding 20mg hydrocortisone.
