Well much to my surprise my pmr symptoms appear to have been caused by the Covid vaccination that I had last week. As I posted, my GP suggested that I hold off taking prednisone over the weekend to see if the symptoms disappeared. And they did!

Okay -let’s hope that’s it then…
Hope you carry on feeling well and you have not got PMR. Sometimes the vaccine can be the final straw to trigger PMR. The symptoms can be similar to other things too and so is quite often misdiagnosed. Good luck.

If there is a potential cause - like a vaccine - always worth hanging back for a bit.
I have read that the Covid vaccine has been linked to autoimmune diseases.
I also had severe pain lasting for about 5 days in several of my joints following the Moderna vaccination
Vaccinations work by stimulating the immune system, to fool it into thinking there's an infection. It's no surprise that we sometimes experience some inflammation.
