I am intolerant of the drugs azathioprine and mycophenolate, as I am intolerant of drugs containing thiopurines. I am 72 and have been told I am too old for tacrolimus. I am currently on prednisone. I want to come of these as I feel really unwell with various symptoms. What treatments are there left for me

I hate prednisolone, it gives me horrible vivid dreams and nightmares as well as making me delusional. My team were actually quite pleased to take me off it as apparently it can become very addictive.
When my Kidneys started to fail because of the anti rejection medication they reduced my Adoport and increased my Mycophenolate, at first this was very successful, but when we tried to further increase the Mycophenolate to reduce the Adoport further, I immediately noticed it started making me heavily confused and I became drowsey. I actually found it was affecting my driving ability so had to get them to restore the Adoport dosage and go back to old does of Mycophenolate.
