Vacationing
I haven’t traveled since before the pandemic but that was also the last time I had to take
prednisone
. I also used to travel for two weeks so I had time for my asthma to calm down before returning on an airplane.

Why do my symptoms feel like Multiple Sclerosis when I taper?
I am now at 12 1/4 mg
Prednisone
today. At times during the day, when I can feel the inflammation inhabiting my body with extreme physical fatigue, extreme tingling extremities and inability to walk as usual. My legs move very slowly and my feet turn in and I am unstable.

have you been treated for osteoporosis?
As predicted following several years on
prednisone
, my most recent DEXA shows that I now have osteoporosis. There appear to be a variety of treatment options - different meds and different administrations (oral, injection) - which I will discuss with my nephrologist.

On prednisone with 100 degrees fever
Reduced from 22.5 to 20 mg 3 days ago. I started running a fever between 101.8 and 99.3. Wondering if any connection. Do I need to go to gp or Rheumatologist?

Is it PMR?
Came off
Prednisone
in October 2020. Saw Rheumatologist who did repeat bloods. At the time I was discharged my ESR was 26. Fast forward to 2023. Severe pain in base of skull and neck (right side only) affecting shoulder, shoulder blade and upper muscles in arm.

accidently took only one 1mg pill prednisone yesterday am, felt good all day
This am made sure I took 3mg. I am thinking of trying to alternate at 2 and 3 mg daily now in a few days. I am a tiny bit stiffer feeling this am than usual. I have also mostly stopped the Ibuprofen and substituting 3 aspirins. Think since it thins the blood might help with hand circulation.

LDN and PMR
Almost three months into my use of low-dose naltrexone, in hopes of replacing
prednisone
eventually, I have learned that the power of LDN to combat inflammation, while real, is much less than
prednisone
, so that at 10mg of
prednisone
, LDN's ability to replace or even significantly supplement the steroid

WOW, noticing today, after some weak days at 5mg prednisone, I am again feeling good and energetic, added meth and hydroxy dropped metformin
I used to be able to take less insulin, but the
prednisone
made my insulin usage go up by about 50%. And now with less
prednisone
, and no metformin, same amount of insulin is working better to hold down my glucose levels. My hands were seriously painful and swollen, now they are also better.

I am scared of what I think I have to do.
I think my body is no longer producing enough cortisol to handle the level of stress that my work brings on, and in order to get off the
prednisone
I need to retire.

Update on pain symptoms
Just an update, at 9 this morning I upped my dose of pred from 9.5 to 15 mg
prednisone
, 8 hours later the relief of painful symptoms is incredible, not completely gone, but sooo much better. I hardly had any sleep last night, just ached all over all night.

ADT and Tendon Pain
Now in my 3rd year of ADT (Eligard), which has also included 2 years of Abi +
Prednisone
. I had issues with my tendons for years before my PC, but the problem has worsened steadily with the PC drugs. I now have tendonitis in both feet, both achilles, a hip, wrist, elbow and shoulder.

Total mess
I do not take urso or
prednisone
prednisone
makes me manic and Urso makes me completely nauseous so I've been taking the 6MP drug since 2017 and it's kept me really balanced so that's my story.
